Ps. Im nowhere near as this as the model.

That is lovely, buy it! I think it the way it cinches in will be very flattering.

kittya · 01/03/2011 09:35

you dont think it will be too short?

Theres a 20% off code knocking around, I better go and find it! Smile

No, its a good length, just above the knee. Go and get it!

corns12k · 01/03/2011 10:08

lovely

kittya · 01/03/2011 10:10

I have!! £27 off as well so not too bad. I have three Whistles dresses from last year and I wear them all the time but, they are sleeveless so this will be a change for me. Do you reckon thick black tights? Im thinking its navy.

Kittya, good purchase. I think thick black or navy tights would look good.

Where did you get the 20% off code? There is a skirt I am coveting...

kittya · 01/03/2011 16:54

It's under the codes section. Shame it wasn't free delivery! What skirt is it?

amiheartless · 01/03/2011 16:55

that is lovely the waist cinch will look good

kittya · 01/03/2011 17:10

I hope so. I'm abit nervous about the pocket and lapels!

Kittya, hello again. Where is the codes section please? Sorry to be thick. The skirt is the pink / coral chiffony one, think it might be midi length which is not my usual thing at all but it's soooo pretty. But to be honest I could buy almost anything from Whistles with 20% off!

Think the pockets will look good. Let us know!

kittya · 02/03/2011 17:45

There is a a section here and one of the topics is promotional codes and vouchers. The code is WHG20ss11 its valid until tomorrow.

I love Whistles, although I dont think I would spend my money on their t shirts or tops, they are way over priced. Let me know how the skirt is.

Got the skirt! Thanks so much for the code, kittya. Got it just in time. It was a right old palaver though. Sold out in my size throughout my city and ended up having to buy it over the phone from a Selfridges in Manchester! Hope it fits now... Have tried it on already in 1 size bigger and it was just about OK, so fingers crossed I can fit in the smaller one! I'm apparently not alone in wanting this; every assistant I spoke to said they'd been inundated in requests about it. It's called the Carrie pleat skirt and comes in 2 lengths: midi and knee. I've gone for the knee being 5ft nothing.

I'm with you on overpriced, kittya, but I do like their things and have got some real bargains in sales and when there are offers like this one. Also there are always loads of whistles items on sale on ASOS.

Got the dress yet?

kittya · 03/03/2011 18:08

It hasnt arrived yet. Could you use the code in the shop then? I never realised that. Yes, they have great sales, Im still chuffed about the £160 bag I bought for £25 in the January sale. What I do like about them is that their things get reduced quite quickly so you almost never have to pay the complete full price. What are you wearing the skirt with?

OP posts:
kittya · 04/03/2011 09:42

It arrived. Looks lovely on but, it gapes at the front and I think a cami would spoil the look of it. The its a navy and rust colour. Im not sure what to do Hmm

OP posts:
blue2711 · 04/03/2011 10:08

Oh I hate that gaping! But then I have no boobs at all and low cut things always gape... I know what you mean about camisoles but maybe a simple cream or white one would look OK?

I'm going to wear the skirt with simple black or white vests and flat sandals by day and high gladiators and a black sequined vest at night. No other ideas so far.. not sure about any other colours with it. Obviously it calls for beautiful sunny weather so I'll probably be able to wear it for all of 3 days....

blue2711 · 04/03/2011 10:09

I think you could only use the code in shops if you actually had the coupon too. I had to pretend I had it on the phone to Selfridges! Unfortunately on Whistles stores or Selfridges accept the code, not John Lewis or other concessions.

kittya · 04/03/2011 14:44

I'm going to have to find a branch in london and take the dress in. Try it on in the shop and maybe see if they have a similar o e that doesn't gape. I have big boobs and it still does it!
