Clothes for 6 and 8 year old girls

Where do you buy clothes for your 6/7/8 year old girls? I need good quality leggings, long-sleeved tops and a few skirts. I'd rather pay a little more for decent quality things that don't become mis-shapen after the first wash, and buy fewer of them. I love frugi, and have bought a few of their things in the past but they're quite £££. Quite like Boden and Joules, though rarely buy from there new (been lucky with NCT sales and charity shops/ebay in the past). Hate the Marks & Spencer range for girls, really not keen on sparkly logos etc. Am I just being too fussy?

H&M do good leggings, tops, and dresses. They have worn and washed very well
zara have some lovely pieces also, their basics are pretty good value aswell
I also find some nice dresses and tunics from vertbaudet
T shirts, dresses and skirts from next
I got DD (a tall 6 year old) some great dark denim jeggings from peacocks which fit very well and have washed well too!

I find Next washes well but I only like a very limited amount of their stock so it is case of trawling through the directory with a fine tooth comb.

M&S range where we are is good - lots of lovely skirts and knitwear.

I also like Monsoon and I again I find the quality suprisingly good - DD has had pretty much the same waist measurement since she was 3 (now 6) and so skirts that were floor length then are still getting plenty of wear as knee length ones now Grin

T shirts etc I tend to but quite cheap - doesn't seem to matter how expensive they are once they get bolognese down the front of them they need to be binned.

H&M and Gap both do good leggings, tops and dresses that wash well and seem to be good quality.

M&S seems better this season than last, also can find nice stuff in Debenhams and Zara.

I second Gap, we have an outlet near us and both my DD's wear a lot of there stuff. The sizing is quite good aswell.

Laura Ashley have a lovely new girls range up to age 7-8. Lots of navy and reds as well as pink etc. Not the cheapest but lovely quality.

My mum keeps buying my girls stuff from Marks and it all seems to be grey or black but she is a bit funny so I don´t say anything. But I agree that Zara basics are good for all different leggings, plain tops, plain cardi etc. I also like Benetton and Charanga but I don´t think you get it there. If I were in the UK I would go to Gap.
