Boden clearance sales

Morning all,

I've just had an invitation to a Boden clearance sale pop through my letterbox. Has anyone ever been to one? Are they any good? Will I find lots of bargains or will it just be a mad stampede?

I've been to a couple and they are really not bad at all, though it will depend on the time of day and the size of the venue, I should think. Is it a London one? The one in Olympia was fine - massive room and lots of polite ladies apologising to each other :)

I went to one last week. I thought it was very good. I got lots of trousers for both DSs - £10 each - normally £28. I bought a dress, skirt and beautiful silver sandals for myself.

No, not London. A provincial town. Held at the racecourse (which should be pretty big) and over two days.

Newbury Racecourse, March 11 and 12, starting at 10! Grin

Went to one in Oxford once. I did get a fair few bits but OMG - it was a bit of a scramble.LOL.

Lots of elbows and grabbing. Was quite amusing once I got over the shock of it. Grin

Does anyone know how to find out when they are around the country this year, or better still where and when they are?

They aren't invitation only and I've seen the datesw listed on various websites the past few years but can't find it anywhere for 2011.

Edinburgh sale two years ago was one of the most hilarious ways to spend a morning...women with a baby on their back, their front and 2 in a buggy ramraiding their way through the crowds, babies screaming in corners as mothers frantically tried things on, bunfights in the queue as poeple lose their temper....loads of bargains mind : )

Oh, it says on the flyer thing they sent in the post 'Goods bought at this sale will not be refunded simply because you change your mind or do not like them. They can be exchanged at the sale during the above dates...'

Are there likely to be changing rooms?
