Has anyone tried this? There's 25% off it at the moment so am tempted....

No but I think it will only give you a shape if you slouch like the model. Does anyone have the urge to shout "stand up straight fgs" when browsing IO website?

corns12k · 24/02/2011 13:31

Yes they all have terrible posture Grin
It's a bit short on the model but she's probably a leggy, willowy thing

You love io

corns12k · 24/02/2011 13:33

I do - I wish I was a kept woman!

It's £££ for a cotton dress. Gapmwill have similar

corns12k · 24/02/2011 13:35

I'm a sucker for a glossy catalogue though...

Corny - have you ordered this? Am suffering from same fixation.

tethersend · 25/02/2011 19:10

It's subliminal... it's because they prefix all their clothes with 'the'.

So it's not just a breton dress; it's the breton dress.

Agree with Cod.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 25/02/2011 19:14

I love the photos, but aside from one IO top, the quality is absolute, um, pants Grin

Am 28 weeks now, so perhaps an excuse to get some fitting maternity wear....

AintMissBeehiving · 25/02/2011 19:17

What if Gap don't do one, what if the stripes are wrong, what if the quality is a bit dodgy

I could be BRETONLESS. Even DH saw the IO catalogue and said "that dress would look nice on you". I'm sure that he wasn't after getting lucky was being sincere. Wink

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 25/02/2011 19:27

ilovemydog I bought these last year whilst pregnant, they are fab, nice and thick material and wash fantastically well. I still wear them post pregnancy underneath things as the ruching over the stomach is very flattering post pregnancy as well. Also nice and long if you are tall.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 25/02/2011 20:59

Grin I love it!

corns12k · 25/02/2011 22:17

AintMissBeehiving - no I didn't order it...am a bit worried about the length. I don't order from IO unless I really want something 'cos of the return postage but it's 25% off....

...also have spent £££ in the Brora sale this week

OP posts:
polyhymnia · 25/02/2011 23:50

I really like it, and would have bought it by now if only they'd done it in their largest size !

AintMissBeehiving · 26/02/2011 08:18

Brora sale? Well? Dish the dirt Corny.

TheAllNewOoooh · 26/02/2011 11:03

What is the 25% code, Corny?

TheAllNewOoooh · 26/02/2011 11:19

Scrap that: it was the KNIT25 one wasn't it, (now expired).

Blackduck · 26/02/2011 11:30

do you think all the tops/dresses are so badly cut that one side is longer than the other so you have to walk around with one shoulder hunched up around your ear? Bizarre all round...

corns12k · 26/02/2011 13:57

the 25% off knitwear was on the website so the breton dress was included in that
yes the brora sale...bought a dress for work
am sending back a t-shirt and a thermal thing though - I think that ends on Sunday so be quick!

OP posts:
corns12k · 26/02/2011 13:58

oh it's expired has it? Well that's sorted that one out then1
