I have perfect nails. Done by me!

Bought some of that Seche vite that I had seen recommended (here? somewhere else?). It is the dog's bollocks.

It helps the varnish dry super fast and gives an amazing high gloss hard finish. Normally I would have chipped my polish by now (done last night) but it still looks totally perfect.

Link?

dearprudence · 23/02/2011 22:37

Interested.

FreeButtonBee · 24/02/2011 12:57

sorry!

Here it is. About a tenner once you factor in postage

Day two and nails still looking good. Slight wear at the tips but nothing noticeable. Normally by this stage I am a couple of nails down to chipping.

Love this stuff. Love it.

O M G

OP was so right. I had read about this and finally decided to get some.

Did my nails last night. Am so far from a professional it's laughable. But DH commented on them even. He never does that

Touch dry so fast and super shiny. Brilliant stuff.

Well worth the 9.49 I paid in a Sally's shop (decided to stop in by chance to see if they had it)

Cheers OP. I share your epiphany

yes this top coat is truly amazing,

id really recommend essie polish as well, its the same company as seche vite. the colours are fantastic and it paints on lovely and smooth.

ronx · 27/02/2011 15:13

Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but Seche Vite never works on my nails. The polish either chips or peels right off after a couple of days. Looks lovely while it's on, though...

Granard · 27/02/2011 20:00

Apparently you shouldn't use if you're pregnant or breast feeding. Agree it's very good though.

shopalot · 27/02/2011 20:38

Same here ronx - no good for me

RipMacWinkle · 27/02/2011 21:00

Oh no - is that true about the peeling? I only did it last night so it still looks amazing.

Is it going to go rubbish by tomorrow?

Still for special days/nights out it's the business.

Granard do you know why that is?

barbieisaskinnybitch · 27/02/2011 22:29

i got mine for £6 inc p&p on ebay.

FreeButtonBee · 01/03/2011 10:08

I did have a bit of peeling after 4 days. Apparently the way to avoid peeling is to make sure the top coat doesn't go right into the side of your cuticles - so there is a tiny bit of uncovered polish at the sides.

Still love this stuff - it now feels like there is a point to painting my nails, before I just didn't think it was worth the hassle because it was ruined in hours (or minutes!)

Is it a salon product? I was going to get a jessica topcoat for my toenails.

ronx · 01/03/2011 15:37

Thanks for the tip freebuttonbee. I'll give my Seche Vite another try.

RipMacWinkle · 01/03/2011 21:18

Well I'm on day 3 here and have slight peeling on only the very end of the nail on my longest finger (what do you call that one?) on my right hand. I'm right handed. My left hand still looks immaculate.

I'm still so pleased with them.

shopalot · 01/03/2011 22:16

Meglet · 01/03/2011 22:18

RipMacWinkle · 01/03/2011 22:27
