Semi Permanent makeup

Hi
Has anyone had semipermanent makeup done on their eyes.
I really fancy the idea of not perpetually having my eyeliner running down my face, but it is quite alot of money and am wondering whether it is worth it?

Not for me.

I am a make-up freak and, for me, a huge part of the pleasure is the ritual involved in applying it!

Too expensive and too much like tattooing for me.

Not for me.

I get my eyelashes dyed in the Summer and that's as far as I would go.

Not for me either. As Bunny said, half the fun is applying it and to be honest, playing around with different looks.

If it was just 'there' all the time, I couldn't do that.

You have to also think about whether your style will be the same in a couple of years. For example, you wouldn't be able to wear a soft smoky look if you have eyeliner tattooed on.

If you do decide to have it done, research your artist very well. I have seen some very bad jobs done, and once it's done you're stuck with it for up to 5 years! Eeek! Ask to see their work portfolio to make sure they are a talented make up artist as well as just being trained in the actual skill of applying the product. If you're in London I know someone I can recommend so if you are still keen PM me if you'd like the details.

I'm having mine done on Saturday! Just very thin eyeliner (sort of joining up the lashes IYSWIM) on top and bottom lids.

I'll come back and let you know how I get on. Two of my friends have had it and it looks great.
