Loving my Babyliss big hair (thanks MN) and using holiday skin again - so easy and much cheaper than my usual Zen tan also gives me consistent colour instead of up and down

What's your best low cost and or quick thing that gives you a high maintance look ?

My eyebrow pencil
Can't say I ever look high maintenance, though :o

MoonGirl1981 · 21/02/2011 13:50

Dry shampoo.

And a smile (cheese!).

Will watch with interest. I too now have Big Hair, but it's appended to a distinctly below-par face/body. Apart from my dyed/waxed eyebrows (I am ginger and this is necessary).

I am lazy, too. If there's some miracle gunk I can slap on and transform myself in 5 mins, that would be ideal.

This may not be the sort of thing you are looking for- but I would recommend 30 Day Shred. 20 mins of exercise a day for a far more toned body. It hurts but it works!

Oh, and I also rate either Clinique laser repairwear of Lancome Genifique ( or is it estee Lauder? Can't be arsed going upstairs for bottle!)

Jemma Kidd eyelash curlers
Soap & Glory Arch de Triumph for eyebrows/browbone highlighting
diamond solitaire studs for ears and matching solitaire necklace
Pure shea butter from L'Occitane for plump but not too shiny lips

Have thought about the shred Notyummy - have a wobble machine but hasn't made much difference lol

I'm very lazy/busy with kids but have a job that requires a certain level of ''grooming''

Dyelash for eyebrows and lashes, takes 10 mins lasts 6 week
Zen fake tan, use it instead of foundation.
Touche of 8 hour cream on lashes, brows and cheekbones, after dying lashes and brows its all i need.
Benefit eyebrow wax and powder for high impact, stays put all day and looks amazing.

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser.
Eyelash curlers.
Always mascara, blusher.
Clinique almost lipstick in black honey.
And fellow Shred devotee of course!

TattyDevine · 21/02/2011 17:12

Strip lashes.

Can get a natural effect and looks like you've had the extensions but 2 extra minutes after other makeup and a fiver to buy and wear over and over.

Schmaffy · 21/02/2011 17:27

Mac 'Well dressed' blusher.

Benefit 'High beam'.

Rimmel Instant Sun applied to legs in Summer with a fake tan mitt - great colour if you're very pale and smells nice!

Epilating instead of waxing appointments - much cheaper and quicker.

A nice spritz of perfume ...

boobjob · 21/02/2011 17:31

Eyebrows threading - ouch but worth it!

anon80 · 21/02/2011 19:17

Chanel coco perfume and my Mady earring and necklace set :)

Also like Dove summer glow, epilater and my high heels

Ulysses · 21/02/2011 19:27

Tinted moisturiser. I use a cheap one from Tesco and it's a miracle worker for a quick makeover in the morning. It evens up my skin tone and gives me a bit of a glow.

I am going to start using holiday skin too!

NancyDrewHadaClue · 21/02/2011 20:01

Extra large self grip rollers from Boots.

Wash hair in morning, dry with hair dryer put 5 in the top layer of my hair, get on with make up/getting kids up and ready. Blast with hair dryer remove and enjoy comments all day about how fab hair looks.

£2.99 for rollers, 3 minutes to put in.

FellatioNelson · 21/02/2011 20:19

Deffo eyebrow waxing or threading for me. Costs peanuts, makes a huge difference, and lasts ages.
