I had my DS 10 weeks ago and am really stuggling with clothes at the moment.

Previously I was a size 10, but none (or very few) of my old clothes fit me now.

I feel like a real frump and seem to have lost my way with what clothes to get.
I want to buy some new basics and get out of my jeans and t-shirts, but don't want to spend too much money on clothes that (hopefully) will be too big once I loose some more weight.

I'm now a size 14 bottom and 12ish top. I need the typical capsule wardrobe - nothing too dressy, just everyday wear.

I've just got no idea what suits me now and I can't even get to the shops to try things on as would have to drag all the DC with me.

Feel at a bit of a loss at where to start with looking online.

Can any of you wise poeple design me a new look? (don't want to spend more than a few hundred quid)
TIA

Are you bothered about having clothes you can easily BF in?

MajorPettigrew · 16/02/2011 20:11

Yes - forgot to mention that. I'm feeding DS myself, so still need easy access!
I don't want specific BF tops though - normally just wear a vest top underneath my tops, so I can pull them up and push the vest top down to feed.

So would still need looseish tops to be able to do this.

Yes, what worked for me really well in the early days were those nice smocky shirts that only button halfway down from the neck - they looked smarter than sloppy tops and I could get one boob out when I unbuttoned it. Also the smockiness covered the tum while it was still there.

I would team that with a pair of linen mix (less crumply than pure linen) wide drawstring trousers which were comfy and obviously with the drawstring adjustable as your waist comes back.

This is a horrible stage style wise but I wouldnt invest much money. Maybe just buy 1 pair of bigger jeans (cheap uniqlo etc) and 1 pair of trousers along with some shirts and smock tops from the likes of Primark. You will end up hating all these clothes soon enough
