I've just ordered a starter kit and am wondering whether I've made the right decision, my skin doesn't tolerate foundations well and they seem to make my skin go very flakey whether I go for cream, liquid or otherwise. The reviews all rave about the bare minerals so I thought if I spent the money I would get something I could stick to - my skin is kind of combination, sometimes oily and sometimes dry. Any thoughts or experiences? Also, how easy is the brush technique going to be to master for someone needing a nanosecond to get ready in the morning?

I love it, I have combination skin and this seems to work well for me, I had tried a mineral makeup before (don't remember which brand) and that only seemed to highlight all the imperfections. I don't have any problems with this. It is so quick and easy to apply and seems to last well.

I have extremely sensitive flakey skin and bare essentials is the only foundation I have ever found that is any good at all. However I do highly recommend the primer, I'd never bothered with one before but tried it in the shop and was amazed at how smooth my skin felt so when I then put the foundation on it goes on much smoother and looks loads better. The brushes are actually
much quicker than I feared but only thing to watch is that you don't put too much on the brush, a v light dusting is all you
need. Too much can make it look a bit flakey after a while.

If you're able to I'd recommend going to one of their stores or a counter in dept store as I've found their sales assistants v helpful at showing you how to apply it properly.

Are these ever on offer anywhere? I've been thinking of getting a kit too, but would need brushes etc so was going to wait until I saw a good deal on....if they exist?

I use this, have done for a couple of years, although I haven't ever used the primer. I might buy it next time I get more foundation though as I've heard good things about it.

The main 2 things I have found are 1) don't overload the brush and 2) buff lots! (buffing is where you swirl the brushes around on your face).

I found the kit I originally bought had very clear instructions about how to apply it. It really feels like you're not wearing any makeup, it's fab.

I have dry flakey skin with oily t zone and ?i love it, the best foundation I have ever used.

berri try qvc for some good kits.

i use it and like it but i'm always trying new foundations...you need to moisturise well before hand and let it soak in, and then buff on the minerals, i must stress buff buff buff lots and don't keep adding more product because then you will look caked.

I have very dark circles and find their concealer isn't heavy enough if i put too much on it makes the skin around my eyes look dry....and if i use a 'wet' usually benefits boing concealer it doesn't sit well with the minerals,

i do think the minerals and liz earle range has cleared my skin though because if i use another foundation for more than a couple of days i break out.

Thanks everyone, after some sort of delay amazon are shipping today so hopefully will be buffing (got to be careful how I say that) over the weekend! Feel a bit more reassured now as some of you seem to have had similarly "flakey" experiences as me. Thanks again x
