What do you wear under your Converses??

Having recently posted about what to wear with skinny or straight jeans between seasons (ie when too warm for boots and not warm enough for ballet flats), Converse or Converse-type (for non-purists) shoes seem a good solution. This style also goes well with my two remianing bootcut jeans, and should go with the flares I'd like to try (I think).

I wear Converse-style shoes without socks in spring when warm, and in summer. But is it ever acceptable to wear something sock-like with Converses when it's less warm, and, if so, what? Realise this may be a fashion faux pas, but views welcome...

I wear trainer liners-if you get very thin ones you can't see them.
Essential for me as I have very stinky feet Blush

I wear matching socks

I wear socks, the thickness of them depends on how cold it is Smile

I wear socks.

I wear socks too, but I have the high top ones.

Many thanks for thoughts. Have some trainer liners I could try, and socks of course. Don't know about matching them when it comes to my silver shoes, though - a bit OTT, methinks.

Socks, but then I don't have canvas Converse, just red patent ones and red glitter ones. So I wear red and white stripey socks or a colour that contrasts nicely with the red, like turquoise or pink.
