Anyone over a size six or under 5'8 is too fat for leggings, oh and anyone over age 16.

AtYourCervix · 12/02/2011 14:47

exactly. so what's the alternative?

As long as you wear long tops I cannot see a problem....oh and you are buying decent quality ones and not opaque tight quality!

Tops must be nearer your knees than your knickers!

BelligerentGhoul · 12/02/2011 14:52

I think 'larger ladies' look much, much better in a dress and opaques than in leggings.

M&S Autograph have nice jersey draped dresses which would be good with opaques and knee high boots or wedges - they are too long for me but v decent prices.

Agre with you muggle. leggings are a crime against fashion on the majority of those wearing them. Yes, dresses above the knee and opaques would look much better.

How about some slim legged tailored trousers, flat fronted ones are slimming.

muggglewump · 12/02/2011 15:25

Good god leggings with long tops just scream, 'I am fat and trying to hide it'.
Never a good look.

Yy, to slim fitting trousers or jeans.
I wear straight legged because my thighs are a size bigger than the rest of me and skinnies/leggings/jeggings make me look huge and I'm not. I'm sioze 6-8 but 5'2 so every ounce, lump and bump shows.
