the b/w stripey one too?

Saw it just recently and do the love the idea of it - for those of you that have it would you say its more daytime than evening or definitely for both?

am wondering whether to keep that for daytime and the grey for evening?

they're fabulous on!!

thoughts? (also it does slightly grate to pay £65 for it when i bought the grey in a sale for £27!!). TIA,

Thats a nice dress

I woudl get it, if it suits you, why not?

is it stretchy?

BelligerentGhoul · 10/02/2011 21:50

I tried the striped one on and it was not at all flattering on my bottom, whereas the navy one feels v flattering.

OhCobblers · 10/02/2011 22:10

well i've not actually tried it on yet so i guess thats the starting point!

sadly i appear to have put on 6/7lbs so rather think that might have a bearing on how it looks, however, i can easily shed those if it looks passable!

will hunt over the w/end!

'tis always a good idea to get two versions of a dress that works well for you. If not the stripes, then another one.

Average of £46 each. Bargain.

HettyAmaretti · 10/02/2011 22:18

Navy in teh sale

muddleduck · 10/02/2011 22:21

I have the navy and the stripes.

Stripes is fab for work. Mine is slightly longer than the navy which is vv short.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 10/02/2011 22:22

Ooh where'd you get the grey one? I thought they'd sold out.

moragbellingham · 11/02/2011 08:10

Stripes is slightly bigger so would be perfect sizewise anyway.

OhCobblers · 11/02/2011 13:07

Thanks all - you've certainly convinced me to at least try it on and Hetty i like you're averaging out pricewise - works for me!!!

WWWY i'm afraid i picked it up last summer - nice to know that just for once i had something in my wardrobe well before it became a stylish favourite as i certainly bow to the good (and better) judgement of the S&B posters!! Smile

I agree: size down in the stripey. I wear mine with a slouchy black v neck jumper, and opaques. It's great for day, and at night I've worn it with a black blazer. The stripe is more 'stone' than white. I wish I had a grey one!
