What do you put on spots?

I have a foul and pulsing canker slap bang in the middle of my face. It is half way up the bridge of my nose. I am stopping traffic.

I'll be honest - I am actually quite impressed in a horrified, 3rd person sort of a way.

So, what do I put on it?

Toothpaste?

Witch hazel?

Some vastly expensive unguent that will DEFINITELY work?

Advise me.

Yep, a strong white toothpaste. Helps to dry it out. Overnight is best.

Lizzywishes · 09/02/2011 18:58

Toothpaste overnight - definitely. Don't squeeze it!

If it looks quite oily then stick some toothpaste on it, but don't if you have quite dry skin.
Clearasil/something or other has a tube of stuff that works and reduces the size of it in about 3 hrs - works fab for massive volcanoes, but not as a regular spot thing.

If you have any antiseptic cream (germoline or similar) dab a big blob on and leave it for a few hours.

Then very gently exfoliate.

tea tree oil or witch-hazel should do the trick.

woopsidaisy · 09/02/2011 21:55

TCP, sudocreme and a plaster to avoid poking!

Quinoderm cream. Fantastic stuff, I use it whenever I get one and it's literally gone by the morning.

Blob of Tea tree oil, a bit of sudocrem or something the next day if it gets a bit dry. Resist the urge to touch/pick it!
