Have tried next debenhams house of fraser and m & s but no luck so far.

Not jeans so either cords or trousers with a shirt and either a waistcoat or tank top. Maybe even a nice v neck jumper.

Want to be able to wear again but is a smart wedding.

BHS

I'd try John Lewis. Or perhaps Monsoon, though their boys' stuff is a bit hit and miss - did once buy a lovely discounted nehru-collared suit from there though.

MrsAlanKey · 08/02/2011 22:06

Have you looked on ebay? There are usually quite a few suits 'worn once at a wedding'.

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/02/2011 22:06

Honestly there are loads on BHS. I know they have a crap reputation but there wedding stuff is pretty good

Jojay · 08/02/2011 22:07

Vertbaudet are often good for that sort of thing.

Little linens is good ... link here

Have just looked at gap - too casual

John Lewis have a few good things - lovely navy tank but is gant and a bit pricey once I add a shirt and trousers.

Monsoon -not much choice. Have some waistcoats but think I may get more wear out of a tank. Also they have grey and had thought maybe pink shirts and navy tanks???! What do you think? Also it's not naff to dress the boys the same is it?

Will look at Bhs now. oh and bennetton.

Next? They have some cute shirt/waistcoat combos, and some really nice trousers.

Aw both the same would be really sweet at those ages, and imho will look much better than different outfits iyswim.

edwardcullensotherwoman · 08/02/2011 22:26

oops sorry missed the bit about waistcoats. Next do have some tanks too I think. Also (and I know it sounds odd, and not necessarily where you'd go for "best" clothes, but..)what about George @Asda? My mum's had some really nice smart clothes for DS there recently. Good luck!

TabithaTwitchet · 08/02/2011 22:29

Jojo maman bebe do some wedding type stuff, waistcoats and tank tops and things.

MummyAnnabella · 08/02/2011 22:30

Bhs-saw one navy waistcoat set for£30 on site but out of stock. Nothing else.

Benetton - don't seem to have a full website.

Will look at next again now. Would go for waistcoat if I really like it. Some I saw were very black/grey and just not what I thought would look right on such young boys.

Okay just looked at next again and there is a nice signature pink shirt and grey waistcoat. Think I want navy though to tie in with me dh and dd - will all be navy pinks and creams.

Next also had nice blue shirt and tank combo. Would blue shirt or pink be nicer? Also next shirt and tank had a tie. Am I right in thinking would be nicer without tie?

for 1 year old mamas and papas usually do a lot of the tank, shirt and smart trousers kind of thing. next do have nice sets like that too but its so much easier to find when its autumn winter, now that spring summer has come out in most shops it will be harder to find but also maybe look for bnwt on ebay as they might have it there even if its gone out of the shops?
