Valentine gifts for the man who has everything

What are you getting your dp for Valentine's Day? We don't usually celebrate but have had an appalling start to the year and I feel like treating him.

He's got very fussy and expensive taste but I want to think of something special.

I have done the bag, watch, photos, weekend away etc. and experiences are a no go as he does better things through work.

We will be away for the evening (with our LO) and I've already bought some special underwear.

TIA

Special underwear sounds just the ticket.

I have bought my husband a personalised portrait of our house. Not romantic per se, but he works incredibly hard to pay for us all to live here (I'm a sahm) and I know he's proud of how far he's come (council house to a 6-bedder is some jump), so the house represents lots of the reasons why I love him so much - not monetary reasons I hasten to add.

It was from notonthehighstreet.

I really hope you see what I mean, I guess if you don't understand, it's not the right present for your hubby!

CH to 6 bedder- well done your hubby.

Lol TinyD4ncer! What does CH mean? Confused

monkeysmama · 08/02/2011 17:23

That sounds lovely and I totally know what you mean. I liked the personalised tree on NOTHS too. Will look again later. Might not have time though?

My portrait was sent within a week even though the waffle bit said 2/3 weeks. I messaged the seller (Letterfest) before I purchased to double check timings too. I agree with you though - the tree is soooo lovely, as is the art that shows all the places you've been to together. We have good taste lol :)

Does he have an iPhone?

I got my DH this last year - but in the plain Taiga leather, which unfortunately doesn't seem to be in stock ATM).

Other nice small leather goods there too.

But the underwear will probably be best received :)

MrsSeanBean · 08/02/2011 18:07

Oh great - link doesn't work. Angry

(It's under Men - small leather goods - if anyone is interested.)

TinyD4ncer · 08/02/2011 18:24

Council house - sorry was trying to be lazy putting CH : )

monkeysmama · 08/02/2011 20:00

Are you suggesting I buy him a council house? Grin How 1980s!

MM - do you know any good photographers? So not those hideous studio jobbies but one who could take a lovely natural photo of you and DD in the park or something.

I did that for DH when DS1 was 1 (also when we got married) and it was a good gift I think.

Another thing my DH always likes is a massage - could you incorporate a voucher for one when you're away perhaps?

But otherwise the underwear and time away together will be lovely Smile

monkeysmama · 08/02/2011 20:43

I like your thinking Tracey but am planning on doing that for his birthday in March which I have more time to plan for (though finding such a photographer is hard - what did you ask for?)

A massage at the hotel could be nice but I wanted something a bit more special from me iyswim.

It's a shame he doesn't like jewellery.
