I have - ahem - a few Boden things, albeit just one top from this Autumn's catalogue. But I won't tell you which one in case you all laugh..And I like their kids' stuff.
It's funny but can't you just tell from the catalogue what's going to end up in the sale? Those Cuban wellies for a start, surely!
Recently I went to their shop in west london and, extraordinarily, I reckon at least half the women there were clad in head to toe Boden of various vintages. Wierd!

I like the brown pom pom boots too.
Just sent back a green cardigan because it was TOO SHORT!!! (do you think he logs onto mumsnet).
And the colour was like mushy peas.

cupcakes · 14/10/2005 13:21

Also, Johnnie, these are not 'sexy'...

teeavee · 14/10/2005 13:22

no, they're very 'bet lynch' aren't they?

cupcakes · 14/10/2005 13:23

Maybe Johnnie finds Bet very desirable.

Enid · 14/10/2005 13:23

hearty blonde country women think those boots are sexy though

teeavee · 14/10/2005 13:24

ee-up chuck, pint of newton & ridley is it??

Enid · 14/10/2005 13:24

you should see my local shoe shop

leapord print courts with black patent bow anyone?

cupcakes · 14/10/2005 13:26

Has anyone actually seen anyone in real life in the past 10 years wearing leopard print??

ScummyMummy · 14/10/2005 13:26

Bleeergh, Enid.

teeavee · 14/10/2005 13:31

Was it Teresa May who caused a bit odf a stir in ageing tories' and telegraph readers' trousers when she wore some bodenish anilmal print kitten heels???

that alone is enough to put one off for life

TinyGang · 14/10/2005 13:35

Lily Savage springs to mind with the animal prints

teeavee · 14/10/2005 13:36

isn't he/she vera duckworth's best mate in RL?

Fimbo · 14/10/2005 13:37

or Liz McDonald - perhaps he should ask Coronation Street if he could provide their uniform.

TinyGang · 14/10/2005 13:37

Lol!

cupcakes · 14/10/2005 13:38

I am imagining hearty blonde country women strutting their stuff in the bedroom in these boots with lots of purring/ sensual growling.
Verrry sexy.

Maybe a bit of zebra neighing too.

Fimbo · 14/10/2005 13:39

CUPCAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

You live in the Country!! LOL

OP posts:
tiredemma · 14/10/2005 13:40

those "cheetah" boots are absolutly vile, do people really wear things like that??

cupcakes · 14/10/2005 13:41

(not real country )

Fimbo · 14/10/2005 13:41

I have this vile image of Dolly Parton in my head strutting her stuff whilst singing "Stand by your man" or was that Tammy Wynette?

OP posts:
cupcakes · 14/10/2005 13:42

that was Dolly. Is she singing it in the boots?

tiredemma · 14/10/2005 13:44

dolly parton sang 9-5, can see her in said boots and im also going to keep my eyes peeled for both peggy mitchell and pat butcher in the boots- or perhaps in a future script even fighting over the last pair in the boden sale.

vile, vile, vile.

Fimbo · 14/10/2005 13:45

Ok place your bets as to how much they will be in the sale. I reckon they will go to £50 eventually
