Nothing to wear with this dress

I just bought this dress, which was a bit of a long shot, as my knees have never been seen off the beach before. I think it looks fantastic on, with black opaque tights.

But I don't know what shoes to wear. Have got a pair of dark red suede which look quite good. Is this a no no with black tights?

So, I would like some ideas for shoes, a jacket, and cardi/informal cover-up. Upper end of High Street prices I suppose. Am 54, 5ft 3, slim but muscular (Size 12).

Lovely dress butterbur. And I think red shoes would be lovely. I often wear red patent leather shoes with a black dress.Gives it a bit of a colour pop!

Would you wear black tights with them, Woopsi? Or is that too Minnie Mouse?

Nah,I'd do the black tights too. Bloody freezing out there!
Hopefully people will agree! But I think it looks fine.
