I bought some from boots. Have used them a couple of times and do the job!

Babyliss pro 230 think these are pretty cheap now and have lasted me about 4 years. Really good results!

mynameis · 06/02/2011 20:52

Just found them on tesco direct 29 pound! I paid 70 back in the day.

I second babyliss pro 230. They are just as good as my old GHDs (which blew up Hmm) and were a third of the price.

I got mine for about £30 in Boots a few months ago.

I have some Toni and Guy ones which were half price about 2 years ago at Argos, I paid around £30. They are pretty good and my hair is v thick and a bit wild!

oooh fab - lots of quick replies!

any tips to how one uses them well? or is it literally just shove hair in, pull straightener down and bob's your uncle?!!

thanks!

Babyliss are just fine

TragicallyHip · 06/02/2011 21:09

I do mine in sections.

Comb through section with one hand while pulling straightener through with the other.

I also blow dry hair properly first

donnie · 07/02/2011 11:57

do it in sections. Do the top layers then the bottom layers.

OhCobblers · 07/02/2011 22:08

great stuff - will have a general look but concentrate on Babyliss and thanks for tips on how to do it right! Smile

I would start at the bottom and work your way up to the top tho, top layers will get in the way when trying to straighten the bottom!
