this one

I like it! Need to teach DS to swim and want something i am comfortable in. I am 5'2 and size 10ish.

Honesty please! :) Or alternative suggestions... I also love this but not at that price!

morag what a crap picture Boden have used of that swim skirt!

moragbellingham · 04/02/2011 17:25

I know, which means it's way overpriced and probably doesn't match anything apart from other Boden itemsGrin

moragbellingham · 04/02/2011 17:32

Oh yes, you can really see how long it is/how it fits in the pic. And must be worn by someone of Amazonian proportions on a beachEnvy to achieve it's potential.

If you like the idea of 50s style swimsuits you might like some of the ones on here (not cheap though!)

or, something like this crossover style one. The straps look quite conducive to breastfeeding.

To be honest, the chlorine will bugger it up so I usually tend to save nicer swimsuits for holidays and get a cheap but nice one off ebay for the pool.

Black one is a bit risky, very low cut, unless it has built-in cups you could be in trouble with it! Prefer the other one but agree not at that price.

moragbellingham · 07/02/2011 11:05

The Debenhams polka dot one looked a bit meh in RL I'm afraid.

moragbellingham · 07/02/2011 11:07

ooh, now i want one of those Esther Williams ones. Wish I could carry off the leopard but am more suited to the cherry print!

moragbellingham · 07/02/2011 11:13

Juicy Couture seem to have some if you have ££££££!
It seems they are quite popular in the US.

shopalot · 07/02/2011 11:16

They have one in Next her hth

shopalot · 07/02/2011 11:16

*here

I have the Debenhams black tiered swimdress that someone linked higher up the thread (I bought it for a trip to India as I was worried about cultural propriety / modesty). I have to say that the skirt bit looks a bit odd when wet - it clings to the top of your thighs, which is not a great look (not with my thighs, anyway).

Havingkittens · 07/02/2011 13:22

The Next skirted swimsuit looks sweet but I would advise against wearing a strapless swimsuit if it's for taking a toddler swimming if I were you. I'd say you're at a fairly high risk of involuntary flashing given toddler's tendency to grab onto clothes and pull themselves up.

I've just seen a similar one to the seafolly on next website...

olive07 · 07/02/2011 16:01

I really like them both, may have to copy you. Hope you got the black one before it sold out.

olive07 · 09/02/2011 08:37

Got the next swimsuit - looks dreadful on me and has a stange sort of layering system, its quite heavy too so imagine cumbersome when wet, it's going back!
