8 hour cream users

Hi there,

I have heard great things about Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. My skin has deteriorated since having my DD 10 months ago.

Just wonder, is it the intensive moisturiser that I should be buying or the skin protectant?

Its for daily use all over my face.

Thanks in advance.

Buy the moisturiser for face rather than the original 8 hour cream. The original is a really gloopy Vaseline type of thing which I use on cuticles and lips and very dry patches. Mixed feelings on MN about it but I like it.

I like it too but if you want to try something which does a similar job (and is very good by all accounts) but cheaper, then try this...

I've not tried the 8 hour moisturizer but I like the original product, which I think is the one referred to as a skin protectant. It's great for really dry skin and always use it on my face if I'm going on a long flight. I think the 8 hour hand cream is complete pants though so I don't know how much faith I have in the various "off shoots" of the original product.

I agree with havingkittens about the 'off shoots' perhaps not being so great- haven't tried the face moisteriser but do have the hand cream and lip balm and both are pretty crap.

Lots of people on here don't seem to like it, but the original 8 hour cream is my all time favourite product. This one's far too greasy for the day time though, I put in on after my nighttime bath, wait an hour before going to bed then feel like I have a new face in the morning Grin

The trick to this product really is in the application: you don't just smear it on and hope for the best, you should warm it up between your fingers first and then really massage it in. I only use it 2-3 nights a week...my skin at this time of year would be a wreck without it.

Haha- should I actually go and work for EA?! Blush

Ooh duna that's a fab tip. I love my 8 hour cream but I'm using it on eczema type patches that have come up on my face. I'm gonna try your way tomorrow.

Thanks for the replies. Think I will go for the original and use sparingly - Duna, putting it on after my bath at night...and if you do go and work for EA please send me free smaples Smile

Duna, what I meant to say that putting it on after my bath at night sounds like a good idea...my DH distracted me!

I love the 8 cream. Agreeing with Duna. Great tip. I also use it as lip gloss.
