Clevage Fiends- which Bra is best?

MoaningMedalllist · 01/02/2011 13:24

the thing is I'm a bit wierd when it comes to bra's ,
I'm a bit obsessed with 'not looking saggy'
I'm only 21 but I'm an F and breastfed so, er..yeah you can imagine lol, there as bad as most but probs to do with me being young.

I have a really wierd phobia when someone isn't wearing a bra, makes me feel physically sick, (sorry if this offends anyone)
I think its linked,I spend ages adjusting , all on tightest adjustment even if it digs in just to avoid 'looking saggy' Sorry I digress....

What are the best bras for enhance and uplift, I don't really want padded if I can avoid, false advertising, innit.
any recommendations I wont be happy till there under my chin Grin lol

You really need to be professionally measured before you go looking.

MoaningMedalllist · 01/02/2011 13:58

Kiki- I got measured shortly after I finished feeding to see if I had drasticly gone down.

thanks for replying tho :)

Sorry, I don't know much about big boobs, not being 'blessed' myself. It doesn't sound good that you're adjusting your bra so that it digs in, though.

MoaningMedalllist · 01/02/2011 14:24

its more about pushing them up terified of having no cleveage or looking 'low' lol

At an F cup you may find it tricky to find something that is completely un-padded which will still give a lot of cleavage. Have you tried the wonderbra d-g t-shirt bra or the Freya Deco? Both are moulded rather than padded, and give very good cleavage for larger busts. Wonderbra also do an unpadded range which do go up at a g but aren't nearly as good if cleavage is your aim.

Out of interest, where were you measured?

moragbellingham · 01/02/2011 14:54

I would've said something like this Freya balcony bra for uplift and support without needing any padding (I was an F pre-children, now an E and getting smallerConfused).
They keep you facing the in the right direction and give me an decent cleavage. They also stop them migrating under my arms.

I actually think the model in the photo needs to shorten the straps!! I prefer my boobs a bit higher too.

MoaningMedalllist · 01/02/2011 15:04

Thanks I'll try them

Debenhams can be ok, depends on the fitter - and I would not touch M&S with a ten foot barge pole! It might be worth checking out the fitting guides on the Bravissimo website, as if you are wearing a wrong size (too big back and too small cup is the most common culprit) then you will struggle. Make sure the back is firm enough for starters - you should only be able to run a couple of fingers under it.

I would also say it depends what clothes you are wearing - if it's for under a v neck/plunge then something like the ones mentioned is necessary, but if it is just under say a t-shirt, they don't tend to give the best lift, as most of their force is inwards, rather than upwards. I have far higher norks when I wear a good well fitting balcony bra, something like a Bravissimo Alana, whilst not especially beautiful, makes them look sky high.

thelibster · 01/02/2011 15:14

This goes up to an F cup and it's not padded. Be sure of your size though, underwires should definitely not dig into your boob.

TheAllNewOoooh · 01/02/2011 15:18

I'm a 32F and this is my best friend.

AllBellyandBoobs · 01/02/2011 15:21

Go to Bravissimo for fitting. I find the Freya range to be really good, and I'm usually a 30FF. Having said that I don't like to enhance cleavage, just to have my boobs sat where they should be on my chest :)

piratecat · 01/02/2011 15:27

most Fantasie bras are great but get the balcony style, not the full cup.

debenhams stock a small range, but what annoys me is that that don't have many balcony bras in stock.

dinkystinky · 01/02/2011 15:32

I agree with AllBelly - get yourself to Bravissimo. I really like the Fantasie bras and the Freya ones are good too.

MoaningMedalllist · 01/02/2011 15:38

Freya seems a popular choice look good so far

must have!

I second the Bravissimo Alana too. It's a great everyday bra.

moragbellingham · 01/02/2011 16:37

I found the Freya fitters were excellent although I did find myself buying a bra with a back one size bigger for comfort after a few months.
I couldn't do with the red welts left by a 30 inch back.

moragbellingham · 01/02/2011 16:38

ooops, Bravissimo fitters I meant.

scotsgirl23 · 01/02/2011 16:47

That ultimo bra doesn't fit the model - drives me crazy when they can't even advertise them properly!

MoaningMedalllist · 01/02/2011 18:45

I googled it and the two bras look different on different links

the fake one looks better Grrrrr Angry

scotsgirl23 · 01/02/2011 19:01

FWIW, I have had some of the d-g cup ultimos - they are fairly good for cleavage, but I didn't find them comfortable enough or supportive enough for every day. They were definitely special occasion when you want inches of cleavage kind of bras!
