Grin so am i! I suit kind of stiffer fabrics well cut with three quarter sleeves and exposed neck/collar bones sort of 60s shift not too smocky! have a few from zara which do work.

Dropdeadfred · 31/01/2011 16:16

i think i need some ribs removing...Grin

noddyholder · 31/01/2011 16:19

this I could wear this with black cardi footless tights and ballet pumps

FluffyMummy123 · 31/01/2011 16:19

[[http://www.phase-eight.co.uk/fcp/product/warehouse/Dresses/Janice-Stripe-Dress/201220424 this in indigo int eh sale]
i was hmm about the draping but its nice

OP posts:
FluffyMummy123 · 31/01/2011 16:22

indigo

but have only ever ONCE found a sweater dress that looks ok

OP posts:
Batteryhuman · 31/01/2011 16:23

me too.

I find a bias cut creates the impression of a waist without the sack of spuds look that a belt under a big bust gives. And with long legs go shorter....

noddyholder · 31/01/2011 16:24

I like that but don't suit stripes!

TrillianAstra · 31/01/2011 16:24

Ooooh, I like this dress (it was next to your dress in the link)

FluffyMummy123 · 31/01/2011 16:25

yes mine is just blue

i ordered this from wallis and it just hangs at teh waist

OP posts:
noddyholder · 31/01/2011 16:29

I like that but don't do jersey.Such a shame to have impeccable taste and be shaped like a barrel Grin I dream of wearing one of those VB dresses but no chance

FluffyMummy123 · 31/01/2011 16:34

i like all of her stuff

OP posts:
noddyholder · 31/01/2011 16:40

Me too What a bitch!

noddyholder · 31/01/2011 16:41

i could wear most of these

BonzoDooDah · 31/01/2011 16:54

There was a typo in OP - did you say you have big boobs?
Try a dress with an Empire Line and v neck. Suits me and I'm that shape (if lardy at the mo)
The v-neckline stops you having a huge single boob and the tuck-in line below the bust gives a great shape and hides the short body and skims any belly issues - especially if the fabric isn't too flimsy.

BonzoDooDah · 31/01/2011 17:01

Like this one and this one - style not necessarily the print.

FluffyMummy123 · 31/01/2011 17:23

nah
empire line emphasises norkarge and makes me look pg

bum area not bad and tops of legs sehr schlim

OP posts:
FluffyMummy123 · 31/01/2011 17:24

i liek this as does everyone else it seems

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 31/01/2011 17:40

i like that style but hate animal print...always think Bet Lynch circa 70's coronation street

noddyholder · 31/01/2011 18:18

That knot is flattering but I don't like the print either although i do like animal just not on a dress.

hoxtonchick · 31/01/2011 19:37

cod, i got janice in blue! v nice it is too. have been wearing with a breton top underneath in current freezing weather... hi noddy :).

AintMissBeehiving · 31/01/2011 19:42

This I love and is on my shopping list. Flattering in the midriff area I think.

tethersend · 31/01/2011 19:50

Something like this?

this?

this?

traceybath · 31/01/2011 19:55

OK we're similar shape albeit I am much shorter.

Belts do not work and don't give you a waist if you don't have one - if anything they make me look fatter.

Now I know you will say too £££ but anglomania dresses are fab for your shape. And I have this and its a brilliant shape on me.

I'd agree definitely no empire lines and god no to prom-style.

I think you were right in that you need to spend a bit of £££ really.
