Comfortable as Clarks....but less frumpy!?

I have crap feet from years of wearing cheap ballet pumps on concrete floors and now the only shoes I can wear are Clarks, the ones with really cushioned soles and arch support. I have tried expensive insoles (£35!!) in other shoes which work ok but want to find some comfortable shoes which are a bit more interesting and stylish than boring old Clarks!
Anyone know any brands/shops?
I'm only 29 and own far too many pairs of Clarks shoes already!

I second geox but I'm not sure if they are quite as well supporting as Clarks. Sadly I'm in the same boat as you are!

I have bought some amazingly comfortable shoes from Next in the past...can't remember the name of the line but have a look at their website!

Thanks for this thread Plasticface, this has been my mission for years (high arches and nothing is comfortable). I like Clarks Unstructured, Camper, and the odd thing from Sketches, but I'm still looking for the perfect combination of comfortable yet non-frumpy.

I was thinking of DMs too, had some in my teens and they lasted 10 years, fell apart after being soaked in mud for 3 days at Glasto!
I know some of Clarks aren't frumpy but I'm tired of the limited choice!
Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll have a look at them now.

I like Camper too, but they have to be in the sale for me to afford.

Have to say I like footglove by M & S - have a wonderful pair of plain slip on loafers I always wear when I have a lot of walking to do (especially good for 'city-breaks' when you always end up walking miles). They are so soft and comfy. I have very very sensitive feet (high instep and pronating!) but hate hate hate frumpy. If you look carefully you can find something that isn't too bad to look at.Much less weird/orthopedic-looking than, say, Ecco. And loads cheaper.
