non-smudging mascara

I recently bought a quite expensive Benefit mascara, only to find that after a few hours I've got dark circles under my eyes from where its started to run! Can anyone recommend a mascara which doesn't clump or smudge? Many thanks!

Estee Lauder Magnascopic is fantastic.

Clinique lash power or Kanebo 38C. Both only come off with water above body temp.

I can't use anything else.

Blinc didn't work on me as i have very watery eyes and quite oily skin. It was better than ALL high street massies but not amazing on me. I would find the little tubes all over my cheeks within hrs. Agree with AutumnWitch about Kanebo 38C also Kanebo Lavshuca. This is the one product i absolutely couldn't do without. Can sleep in it/ travel to Australia/ steam face when have cold..you get the picture. No panda eyes no smearing nothing. Hard to get off but that's what i want!
Never found Benefit waterproof ones to be waterproof in any way..not even sweat proof. Dread to think how much i spent on mascaras over 20 yrs or so as only discovered Kanebo a few yrs ago.

AutumnWitch · 28/01/2011 08:29

I discovered the Clinique one when Kanebo disappeared to Harrods. It uses the same technology and is cheaper too Smile

Max Factor the falsies. Or ebay Cover Girl Lash Blast from the US which is exactly the same in a different colour tube, at 1/3 the price. Hmm

spiderlily · 28/01/2011 10:42

Try Clinique's high impact curling mascara. Everything smudges on me, but this one really stays on! Plus it really lenghtens and curls lashes...:)

lololizzy · 28/01/2011 13:03

is this Clinique lash power, AutumnWitch? does it stay just as well on lower lashes too?

lololizzy · 28/01/2011 13:05

i tried Max the falsies and had panda eyes within half hr. I don't even use cream under my eyes..why does mascara hate me so much?!

CalamityKate · 28/01/2011 13:18

Watching this thread with interest because I have NEVER found a mascara that doesn't smudge.

The worst was a BadGal Plum coloured one. It actually looked as if my eyes were BLEEDING.

moragbellingham · 28/01/2011 13:50

Blinc worked for me and Max Factor masterpiece waterproof.
Though am liking the MF lash extension stuff too. I find that their non-waterproof is OK when I was forced to buy in an emergency.

AutumnWitch · 28/01/2011 16:28

lolo it is lash power and it seems to survive major workouts, not so good with weepy films, using more than 2 tissues seems to break the seal and it comes off in bits (still better than panda eyes) Grin

Thank you so much ladies! Mentioning the Kanebo one was like waving a red flag to a bull for me...I'm such a product junky! So I've just bought it online! Baulked at the price but very very excited!

i bloomin' get through a Kanebo about every 3 weeks but that's cos i layer it up too much probably and have long lashes..i have to keep selling stuff on eBay so can buy them (on eBay). It's the only product i absolutely could not do without...i steamed the other day for a cold and didn't remove the mascara till 3 days later. I only change it once or twice a week, as i have sensitive skin /eyes so the less messing about, the better. If that sounds gross..well i don't think it's any different to wearing lash extensions or fake nails, neither of which i've ever done. (not that i wouldnt do fakes but with my watery eyes they'd last 3 seconds)

lololizzy · 30/01/2011 21:37

so basically..i view it as semi permanent cosmetic product.
