This is my first venture into this area. Be gentle.
I am nearly 47 and have PCOS, I don't have a lot of body hair but this morning I caught sight of my lady 'tache and it's horrifying.
DD often teases me, but I seldom look that closely in a mirror. It is quite coarse at the ends but pretty fine everywhere else. The biggest problem is it is black and I am quite pale.
My question is this - should I bleach it or use some cream on it. I don't have any other options as I live in Belgium.
Thanks for any help possible.

Threading is great for a lady tache. If you can't find someone to thread it, check out youtube. Hair doesn't grow back for ages.

Another vote for the threading, if you can find someone! Had my 'tache threaded a few weeks before Christmas, very impressed with the results.

I use one of these for facial hair
No trauma to the skin so I don't get the spots which normally appear after waxing. Also great for the days when you look in the mirror and think "fuck me I look like a troll"! Grin

netbook - have never ever heard or seen one of those before. Is it easy to use and, more importantly, is it sore??

Very easy to use, you just roll it over your face and it takes the hairs out. It's a little sort as your still pulling the hairs out by the roots, but nothing like waxing as the skin isn't pulled about.

I monitor my upper lip the smae way I do my brows and tweeze at the first sight of a bristle!

sore not sort

I get the morning sun in the bathroom so that's when I tend to notice any hairs, but can use it before leaving the house and by the time I get to work any redness has gone.

I second the threading stick thingy. Yes, it does hurt a bit, but very effective. Easy to use too.

netbook - right, I've just ordered one. If I bleed, cry and take half my skin off I'm blaming you Smile

Brilliant, I will order one of those bendy pull out things once I've got a paypal set up.
Bleach really is my only option here, tis too thick to pluck and threading really is not available. Waxing is too expensive so I am looking forward to my top lip topper remover arriving.
Once again, many thanks.

Thanks for starting this kreecher, have just ordered a bendy thingy too.

Looks like the moustachio'd lady club has quite a few members already.

Do I get a badge or is it a secret handshake? Maybe we can just pin our bendy thingys to our lapels Grin

is it not agony? i can pluck my brows and chin but moustach really really hurts.

pinkmagic1 · 27/01/2011 10:33

For eyebrows you can't beat proper threading but for taches I agree them bendy springs are great!

I would love to find a threading place, but they seem thin on the ground in Antwerp.
I did have it done over Christmas while we were in England. It smarts a bit but tis over quickly which I am hoping for the same with bendy springy thingy.

Much less painful than plucking and I don't really get much redness even though I have sensitive skin. Smile

I use the Epicare (bendy spring thing) and love it, does the job quickly and easily and isn't really painful, more like a prickly sensation.

Much better than waxing for me, I have sensitive skin and waxing used to leave my skin all sore and red. Also tried the hair removal cream which burns my skin if left on long enough to remove the hair, not good :(

I got the original Epicare here which cost more than that, thought it was worth it though as I'd read the cheaper ones are a different metal which can cause skin reactions.

Just an update, my springythingy arrived yesterday and I've used it. It works. It is rather uncomfortable, but effective.
Thanks.

Can anyone tell me how to use this please. I brought one after seeing it recommended on here but it doesn't seem to be very effective and I still have to use tweesers for stronger hair. Thanks
