Hi I wonder if anyone can recommend a good hairdresser who can do a good job on my kinky wavy thick hair and not leave me looking like an frumpy old lady.

I don't mind travelling to a good hairdresser

thanks x

I could actually recommend someone who would definitely not leave your hair looking frumpy, but she is a bit mad so you are never sure what you will come out looking like. You have to be made of strong stuff to go and she swears like a worse than a trooper.

If you are not put off by that(!!), I can find out where she is working now and pass you the details on?

MotherJack, thanks - sounds like my kind of person :)

Righto - she is a right laugh, but barking!! She gave me a mullet once, but she has also given me the best haircuts ever too.

Bear with me - I'll get back to you as soon as I find out for sure. I'm pretty sure she is on the Notts/Derby border Smile

Don't go to Toni & Guy in Derby. Last time I went there they refused to cut my hair the way I wanted it, I took ds in September and he ended up crying because the woman was being rude to him and the hairdryer was too hot.

Aveda in the westfield are not bad. I'm on the look out for a good hairdresser also Sad

It's next to the Flower Pot which sounds unpromising but isn't.

Sort of on the inner ring road - behind the Queen's Leisure Centre (struggles for name of road) err maybe it's King Street???

crazynell · 30/01/2011 23:32

Oh yes, i know the flower pot - i'll have a look when i'm next in derby, thanks Clary
