should I buy this?

I love this Toast coat. £90 in the sale - bargain, but I have lots of coats already.

Q1 -Usually I'm a size 10 in coats but the Toast sizes imply a 12; are they really that small in their sizing?

Q2 - I love the red but don't want to look like Little Red Riding Hood - I'm 45!
I love the bron but have a brown coat already, so thoughts on the blue?

Q3 - should I throw caution to the wind and buy it?

i think you have to be tall to wear that coat

willybreeder · 24/01/2011 21:24

Beautiful in red - not little Red Riding Hood[grin}

Buy the coat.

Great colour. Flattering style.

Lovely.

It's too long for my liking (and I'm quite tall).

HettyAmaretti · 24/01/2011 22:00

Yes, get the blue. (if you're at least 5'8")

Did you measure? If this says you need a 12 then I'd go with that TBH.

HettyAmaretti · 25/01/2011 19:19

and?

HollyBollyBooBoo · 25/01/2011 19:22

No - there is a reason its so massively reduced AND still available in every size - clearly one of this seasons turkeys!

teahouse · 25/01/2011 20:39

I'm 5'4 and the blue has now sold out - decision made...

Thanks for the advise, and for the laugh Bunny :o

If you have a large rear end, it will not be flattered by this coat. Same goes for large boobs. But other than that it's very nice, a classic you'll be able to wear no matter what's in. Only reservation - is it going to go shiny since it's cotton moleskin?

higgle · 26/01/2011 13:40

Thre have been quite a lot of moleskin coats marked down this year - I got a very nice one from Phase Eight. The problem with them is that they crease if you sit on them, they are not very warm and they pick up every bit of fluff, animal hair, misc. dust etc. I'm saving mine just to wear over my evening dress,it is not really suitable for every day.
