Outfit needed for rare night out...

I'm in my early 30s and have a rare night out to 'town' with the girls next week - what do I wear?

I have no idea!

I'm size 18/20 and quite busty.

Any ideas for something that'll not make me look too mumsy or fat?

this top with black straight leg jeans and high heeled shoe boots chunky silver jewellery

How tall are you? If you're tall, I always think maxi dresses are good for a night out. Check out Wallis, Monsoon or Long Tall Sally.

What are your best features? (Saying you don't have any is not allowed Wink)

A deep V neck si always flattering to full norkage, much more so than a deep scoop neck or (heaven forfend) a high neck. Structure, tailoring and draping are your friends. Bagginess just makes everything look bigger and, well, baggier.

TBH the most important thing is underwear. A damn good, well fitting bra and spanx will make anything you wear look much better.

Be sure to get a blowdry and generally pamper yourself as much as possible before you go, you'll feel better and therefore look better.

Have a look at ASOS and simplybe.co.uk and link to a few bits that you like to give an idea of your taste...

oh yeah, height, colouring and if you do heels is good to know too Smile

5'7, fair colouring, short very blonde hair and heels are ok as long as not too high!

Good ideas so far thanks :)

lol, no Grin

Sorry about the lack of shoe suggestions, 'tis not my field - I'm duck footed so have to buy what fits and buy my clothes round that. There are plenty of shoe fetishists about who'll be able to help when you've found your outfit.

That said, I think bright heels (maybe red, purple or green) and the LBD would be an excellent choice.
