I hate doing mine and am tempted to go to a salon twice a week to get it done and then straightened. Is this daft? Or do other people do it?

Oooh, I sometimes get my hair washed and blow dried for a wedding, or special night out. By sometimes, probably once a year.

I have long hair and love my Babyliss Waving Wand.

I used to have a weekly blow dry but I'm a definite Babyliss Big hair convert. I have shoulder length, thick, wavy hair that looks dreadful unless it's properly styled.

I love a salon blow dry. I used to have one every week when I had a bit more cash - and it would last a whole week too! Sorry if that sounds gross to some people, but my hair doesn't get oily so it doesn't need washing very often unless I go to the gym.

Have you thought about building up a good relationship with a hairdresser and getting a discount for being a regular? I've even heard of people washing their own hair in the shower and then stopping by the hairdresser on the way to work for them to dry it - saves everyone some time and they might knock the price down.

Got mine done in a hairdresser near to my work years ago as I had a date after work and hadn't had time to wash my hair. It cost £28 Shock. But I'd love to have it done a couple of times a week if I could afford it.

Especially considering the BBH is 40 odd quid! Grin

Glad you like it OnEdge - brilliant, isn't it?!

Litchick · 25/01/2011 11:19

Yes I get salon blow dries.
They last beautifully for two days,a nd I can stretch them to a third with dry shampoo in between.

Aitch · 25/01/2011 22:27

i'm so pleased you like the big hair, it's great, isn't it?

ChoChoSan · 26/01/2011 17:50

I only ever do this if I have to go out somewhere during the week and haven't had the chance to wash my hair, or if I'm feeling a bit grimy going out straight from work.

It's fantastic, makes you feel less self conscious, but it does cost about 25 quid here.
