This Outfit - Mutton/Vile or Not?

FaffTastic · 22/01/2011 19:02

Please advise oh wise stylish ones - am I having an early mid-life crisis?!?

Have never ever even entertained the idea of a playsuit before and not only is it a playsuit its a leopard-print one.

Is it nice or is it vile and muttonish and have I clearly had too much wine to drink?

Finger is hovering over the 'order-now' button so please advise!

If it helps, I'm 32 and a size 10-12.

well?

cant see it

HeroShrew · 22/01/2011 19:05

just takes me to the main menu

however you are both young and slim so go for it before you are neither.

tethersend · 22/01/2011 19:07

Is it the Drew animal Playsuit?

It's lovely. But it. At once.

tethersend · 22/01/2011 19:08

Then buy it.

FaffTastic · 22/01/2011 19:08

here it is again

Hopefully the above link will work from the asos website. Have gone off it a bit now I think now I've seen it on their website - looks even more muttonish than it did on the Whistles website

Its better than I thought it woudl be

I was expecting full length

tethersend · 22/01/2011 19:15

You're only 32, not 80!

madammecholet · 22/01/2011 19:15

You can absolutely pull that off...no prob. I would wear with a smart blazer and shoe boots..
Enjoy :)

BitOfFun · 22/01/2011 19:18

It's revolting, sorry.

orienteerer · 22/01/2011 19:18

PlaysuitHmm?

BibiThree · 22/01/2011 19:18

Personally, if you like it and would feel good in it, then go for it...however I would say it doesn't look like an expensive playsuit, it looks like it's from New Look, which would put me off.

tethersend · 22/01/2011 19:24

It is not revolting. Don't listen to BoF. She doesn't like it because it's not winceyette Grin

I like it, and would wear it if I had the legs. I'm 33.

Daydreaming · 22/01/2011 19:25

I love it too.

Can we make one thing clear? At 32 YOU VERY YOUNG !!! Provided your figure is ok, you can pretty much wear anything and you should in fact !!

Often it's about how you wear something.

JaxTellersOldLady · 22/01/2011 19:27

It is nice, but £135 for viscose. nah... you could get it for £30 in new look. sorry.

ChickensFlyingUnderTheRadar · 22/01/2011 19:27

I don't like it, but I do like the orange/black dress from your first link

tethersend · 22/01/2011 19:34

This one and this one also nice. And cheaper. Although I prefer the whistles one.

ScarlettWalking · 22/01/2011 19:36

It's not bad in the pic but could go horribly wrong in RL - I am the same age as you a size 10 and 5 ft 11 and would feel frumpy in that. The MODEL looks frumpy in it.

Proceed with caution.

FaffTastic · 22/01/2011 19:39

You're right, don't think its worth the money. Would only year it with black opaques so would prob only get a couple of wears out of it before it ends up too winterish looking for spiring time. Am still strangely drawn to it though so will have another look at it tomorrow with a wine-free head. Thanks for the opinions.

Sorry, I don't like it.

brimfull · 22/01/2011 19:45

i like
yoou need decent longish legs though

mrmagoo · 22/01/2011 19:57

Everything I've ever bought from Whistles has turned out to be crap quality. Slightly offputting, I find.

HelenBa · 22/01/2011 20:32

I can't believe that I am about to say this about a playsuit (!) but am also strangely drawn to it with the whistles styling - though it is over-priced IMO

Eglu · 22/01/2011 20:36

I like the style but not the colours. It is incredibly expensive too, for something that is very of the minute.

brimfull · 22/01/2011 21:18

models on that site are soooo skinny

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 22/01/2011 21:30

Playsuit, yuck & double yuck. Kate Moss (I am no fan of hers) is the only person on the planet that can get away with this.
