Anyone like to recommend their favourite Jewellers?

Hello everyone,
I love handmade jewellery and my birthday is coming up very soon. I am looking at either an Alex Monroe necklace or a Michael Michaud peapod.

But then it struck me that the wise and wonderful ladies of S&B must know lots of jewellers I am not aware of....and in the interest of research please let me know who you like!

Thanks!

If you like natural themes (insects and plants), I would look at antiques and second hand shops. Some local jewellery shops have some to sell too as some auction houses. DH bought me some art deco (geometrical rather than natural) georg jensen second hand, and it is really nice (even if he didn't pay the full price Wink.
The stuffs from the 1920s/30s are much better design and quality than what you can find now and probably will end up cheaper or be a better investment.

Maybe someone here might know (i asked a couple of weeks ago but no reply!)

I really like holly willoughby's gold and pearl necklace that she wears all the time on this morning - does anyone knw where is comes from? Please?! :)

I really like Expressions des Bijoux.
They have stunning one off pieces that I have not seen before.

OrangeyTulips · 02/12/2014 12:08

I like Alan Ardiff although the designs are quirky and in silver. The pieces move when you do.

Monica Vinader is often on the Outnet.

I have a fab ring by Shaun Leane and love some of his other designs.

I'm going to suggest Kelvin Birk:

I don't own anything made by him, but I did a few jewellery making courses with him and he's a very talented (and nice) guy.

Lovely stuff here. I have the winter tree pendant and it gets lots of compliments.

OrangeyTulips · 02/12/2014 16:37

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to post here. I have found lots of beautiful pieces ( which I can't afford atm!) I never would have found these sites otherwise.Smile

I like to design my own occasion jewellery (engagement ring and baby ring etc) and I use Martin Oliva. He has showrooms in South woodford and Barkingside and is very reasonable.

He sells his own designs too which are all very well made

Sheila Fleet. I love her designs - my engagement ring is from one of her collections. I can drool over her website for ages!

Sorry - can't link as I am on the app!

Alexaa · 02/12/2014 19:15

I love Pippa Small. Her jewellery is very ethical and beautiful. She is quite pricey though so if that's not in your price range I also recommend:

~Damson Jewellery are a popular, British company.
~Alison Moore creates lovely jewellery. I recently bought a few of her simple hammered bangles. I also think her Luna collection is absolutely gorgeous in particular!

OrangeyTulips · 02/12/2014 21:03

Aylesbury I'll link for you - she's great too and relatively local to me. I have some of her pieces too.

I love Sasha Bell's earrings: www.sashabelljewelry.com

I came on to say Stephen Einhorn but I see MrsFlorrick has beaten me to it.

His work is divine. I love the pieces made from ancient Thames wood.
