Post Baby styling - thoughts

Hi, I'm a personal stylist and mum to 2 young children. I'm putting together a course/workshop based on post baby styling issues - a subject very close to my heart. The course will cover confidance and identity issues, style tips and solutions for dressing for your body shape, how to hide the bits you don't like and accentuate the bits you do etc, making your wardrobe work without spending a fortune, discussions and demo's, simple grooming etc. What I would really like is any feedback people may have on how they felt/feel about their changing roles as mums, how they feel about their post baby body and the style and image issues they may feel they have now that they are mums. The course will be open to all mums, not just those with new babies. It's all designed to hopefully help rediscover the gorgeous loveliness that may have got buried under the mummy responsibilities. Any feedback and thoughts gratefully recieved. I would hope to make it as accessible as possible to people so costs will be kept to a minimum. Thank you! ;-)

Ooooh Thank you, I was just about to ( and probably will anyway) start a thread about this as I look like a haggard bag lady. I see yummy mummies everywhere and I am just a mess.

I don't mind my jelly belly, but DH has started making noises about it ( and I am doing something about it now), have been neglecting myself. I think " I have had a shower and washed my hair, I'm doing great!" but I don't look great. Sallow skin, bags/ circles under eyes, frizzy hair even after conditioner, unkempt eyebrows, I don't wear makeup and really should but getting basic hygiene, breakfast & DD fed and ready for the day is more important. I know it would only take a few minutes, so need to change my mindset.

On the plus side I'm sure the sight of me makes other mums feel better about themselves, he he he

Sounds good!

The hardest thing is dressing a new shape - I know what worked for me before, but don't know what works for how I look now.

Cheap styling tricks as you are losing weight!

I know some people on here will prob snigger, but I'd be interested. I like to think I look ok, dh thinks I look great bless him, but I feel like I need to get on top of myself again if you see what I mean.
