DD2 is finally getting Christened on Saturday, and amidst all the post- Christmas chaos I haven't put a thought towards what I am going to wear for it.

After a very quick look I have found these, but I would love some opinions - especially for bags/ shoes ect.. and any suggestions if you have any.

Hi Bambi
I just want to say that my measurements and colors are a bit like yours and I've gotten a ton of wear from a CK dress (in black and white) that resembles your NAP #1 and #2 in its simple and elegant cut. It's actually a very versatile style and also extremely comfortable to wear (ie, you can focus on the occasion, not the dress), plus it looks classy and my dress doesn't wrinkle. The coral one looks amazing for spring and would also be very timeless - and I think the color is just right for a christening.

To me, this dress channels Givenchy and Fellini movie goddesses, it oozes class.

Those shoes are PERFECT.

bambiandthumper · 16/01/2011 21:02

I'm glad you like them BlackSwan, I'm amazed at my DH's taste, he chose them all by himself!!

I just bit the bullet and ordered the dress, can't wait for it to arrive :o

Now I just need your opinion with hair. I'll probably run out for a blow dry first thing, as one of Hershon's very close, and they are normally very quick. Do you think a 'Bardot' would be too much? I might just stick the a Classic one which has looked great before...

Yay! Which one which one?? The coral one? Gorgeous dress.

I wouldn't go OTT with hair - definitely not the time to try a new style for first time. No doubt you will look very elegant with a smooth style.

bambiandthumper · 16/01/2011 21:22

Yep :o

I think i'm definitely going to go for the one I always have, as I know it works, your right about it being a bad time to try something for the first time.

Now i've just got to find something to wrestle the DT's into

ooooh that is lovely, French children's clothes are just so much nicer than English ones. I'm taking it you've seen Bonpoint and Marie Chantal

Bonpoint is exquisite. Marie Chantal too. Sadly, they grow out of their clothes too quickly! We have some cloud print jim jams from Marie Chantal that I will be very sorry to see go...
