laser treatment works

sparkle1977 · 12/01/2011 11:14

Don't really think any of the creams work to be honest. They do fade a bit with time but you are most likely stuck with them sadly.

I had really horrible stretch marks on my tummy and used SbC collagen gel on them, theyre not totally gone you can still see a tiny silvery line in certain light but it really helped to fade them, you can get it from QVC

I've also tried loads of products and spent a fortune and nothing works. s Lowercase said, only real solution is Laser treatment.

I don't know about lasers, but no cream works.

If they did, these threads would not exist.

Palmers cocoa butter - it won't totally eradicate them but it will generally improve skin tone and make them less noticeable.

Bunbaker · 14/01/2011 20:18

No. It is in your genes. You will get them or not regardless of what cream you use.

pugsmum · 24/01/2011 00:41

Oh damn I though that may b the case zm ok so how do I mke my best friend fat and ugly by sept???

I applied creams and oils (recommend Bio-Oil, Clarins oils) religiously throughout first pregnancy, didn't put on lots of weight (DD was only 5lbs 13oz - small babies run in the family) and didn't get stretch marks on my bump, except some small ones at the sides.

BUT three days after DD was born, my boobs ballooned with the milk and - yep - big purple stretch marks all over them. Great!

But they do fade and quite quickly. DH didn't care.

I also got stretch marks on my bum and thighs when growing as a teenager, and I am quite petite.

So I hope this makes you feel better - probably not due to anything you've eaten, just the way you're made, sorry!

Bets consult a comsetic dr or a plastic surgeon for proper treatment like laser or similar.
They will fade in time but you will be left with silvery lines.

I don't have any from being pregnant but I do have a few faint ones on my inner thighs which appeared at puberty.

I had stretchmarks on stomach (DS was 10lb 14) - applied Bio-oil afterwards. They have completely faded. Whether the Bio-oil was responsible I don't know.

Monadami · 24/01/2011 19:02

I used Bio Oil beore, throughout pregnacy and after and thought I wouldn't get any, but at 7 months they crept up at the lower area of stomach. My DS was also a big baby 10lb 5oz. I've used Bio Oil for over 5 years can't say it's made any difference. I think if you're prone to Stretch Marks, nothing will prevent them.
