"Winter" maxi dress - what shoes?

Long, plain, 3/4 sleeve jersey maxi dress.

Chunk belt to disguise the obvious line that is the top of my tights.

What to wear on my feet?

If it were summer I would wear ballet flats and be happy. I guess I still could if it were not raining.

Boots would lovely lovely if a bit male lead in Pantomime (obv played by a female) -it's one of my favourite looks.

Currently wearing boots (flat ones), just wondered if the style gurus had any better thoughts.

I quite like wearing my maxi dresses with chunky biker style boots.

I find though that you need you wear a short jacket though. Which means you have a cold arse, but with gloves, scarf and a hat looks quite stylish.

And hey a cold arse is a small price to pay for looking good!

Agree that a short jacket is needed - a leather biker or a cropped wool jacket would be nice. I've been wearing mine with boots that are sort of a cross between a cowboy and a biker. They are brown though and I really, really want some grey ones. :(

I wear with either flat knee high boots, or ankle wedge boots. And yes, a short jacket.

Shoeboots? I wd wear with heel otherwise I look a bit of a hippy.

Chunky style biker boots work best IMO. Think that anything with a heel tends to look a bit odd with daytime winter maxis.
