Grown up clothes

Right. I need new clothes. I'm a student nurse and as such have slipped happily into studenty scruffs mainly from Primark. And jogging bottoms around the house cos I've been such a fat greedy cow over Christmas they're comfy.

I'm 33. Where does someone of this age buy stylish apparel from? I have an almost 13 year old daughter so obv anywhere she might shop is totally out of the equation or she'd never forgive me.

Is it time to be looking at peach crimplene polyester skirts in BHS?

I'm 32 and tend to shop in the following:

Warehouse
Whistles
Urban Outfitters
French Connection
TopShop (not the teeny-bopper section)
My-wardrobe.com
Reiss
Local one-off shops
French Connection
M&S can be quite good for work stuff (and like their Limited Collection range for non-work)

Adding to Faff's list - Zara. Can take a bit of searching through but they do have occasional nice bits.

It's ok to get basics from Primark and H&M, like plain or striped t-shirts, so it's not obviously the same as your daughter's stuff. Same for jeans. Flares and bootcuts will be the latest thing, so find somewhere that fits you well. I tend to mix Oasis, Warehouse and ASOS bits with basics from Primark and H&M and have recently bought some lovely "grown up" clothes from Boden, Hobbs and Phase Eight in the sales. I'm in my late 20s. A lot of the more grown up sales are still on so worth it to be classic things, eg-dresses, nice knitwear, etc.
