i like it, dd is 5, i buy quite ablit of the Yumi stauff from John Lewis, it wears well, that one makes a change from pink (dd also a lover of all things pink and sparkly)

arentfanny · 09/01/2011 21:50

I love it, but the I love all things girly and live vicariously through others as DD hasn't voluntarily worn anything girl like since she turned 2.

nancy75 · 09/01/2011 21:51

arentfanny - you can borrow my dd if you like- her idea of a nice dress is a full length tutu or a bridesmaid dress, every time we go in John Lewis she pleads for a bloody brides maid dress!

KangarooCaught · 09/01/2011 21:55

I immediately looked to see if you can machine wash it - you can. It's lovely and vibrant. Yumi used to sell direct via their website.

arentfanny · 09/01/2011 21:55

Nancy that would be lovely, we have been toing with the idea of number 3 to get a girly Agnes, on th eplus side DS age 2.5 was boucning on the trampoline this afternoon in a pink princess dress and was very happy. Grin

carriedaxmaspudding · 09/01/2011 21:56

lol nancy my dd does that too, theres a bridesmaid dress in there covered in sparkles she really wants it, ive even considered getting her one for a party we have in march, but dont know if thats a bit bonkers! lol

just really get sick of pink.

carriedaxmaspudding · 09/01/2011 21:57

carriedaxmaspudding - we must have the same child! I know the drss you're talking about, i've been shown it many times! I have also considered getting it for parties but then realised the other parents will think i'm a loon.

carriedaxmaspudding · 09/01/2011 22:09

lol, does your dd like the feathery shrug things in monsoon, my dd loves it in there.

V. Nice.

V. Classy, and spangly enough surely to satisfy DD.

Full Marks Mrs Pudding.

isore · 09/01/2011 22:14

Eek at £30 though.

coldtits · 09/01/2011 22:14

It looks thin

nancy75 · 09/01/2011 22:15

yep, they must have been seperated at birth! her perfect outfit would be the fluffy cape, the bridesmaid dress and a pair of sequin hello kitty shoes she saw in hennes (accessorised with as many plastic flowery necklaces as possible) when i asked her where she would go in the dress she suggested the park!

maras2 · 09/01/2011 22:17

Thought it was lovely.Wish we had a grandaughter to buy it for.Maybe soon.

animula · 09/01/2011 22:23

Another "thumbs up" here.

Nancy and carrie, your dd's sound lovely.

Clure · 09/01/2011 22:30

nice.
I bought my DD an "uttam" dress which are similar to yumi, got it in TK Maxx for £12. Worth having a look!

carriedaxmaspudding · 09/01/2011 22:38

thanks for the advice, i'll show her it on the computer and if shes says she likes it, i'll order it.

for spring summer, im going for less clothes but nicer stuff as i find dd has her favourite things that she always wants to wear, and some things she has don't get really even get worn.
so im going for less clothes but stuff she will really like

nancy, oh yes dd has a box with hairclips bangles and likes to pick.
she loves bags too.

animula, thanks, the girlyness is rather a shock to me, as i never ever played fairies or anything like that when i was a child as i was the only girl i think.
so its all faith trust and pixie dust with dd!

ShowOfHands · 09/01/2011 22:43

I was going to suggest uttam dresses too. TK Maxx does them.

DD likes this sort of thing (in fact she wore this today). And Dr Marten boots. And a cape. Hmm

carriedaxmaspudding · 09/01/2011 22:50

hi sohSmile

what sort of cape was itGrin

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 09/01/2011 23:06

Well I think technically it was a curtain. She was SuperDuperGirl you see. She was rescuing Mike (one of a host of imaginary friends) from the Flobadob space alien who was about to eat him.

I think I was playing the part of the space alien and was poked with a judging stick (a coat hanger) and 'judged to death'.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. She takes after her father.

carriedaxmaspudding · 09/01/2011 23:23

lol shes sounds funSmile
funny how us parents always get the good parts in the game such as being sentanced to death!
