i tried moroccan oil on my hair today and oh my good god it's amazing stuff. i'm most impressed.

saw threads about it on here, and was at crappy supercuts at the shopping centre today getting dd's hair trimmed, and lo, there it was on the shelf.

my hair is utterly luscious! so just a little recommendation for those who haven't had a go yet.

I have been so tempted by this...how much was it, if you don't mind me asking ?

And, do you apply it when your hair's damp or wet and how ?

I read about it on here and on India Knights blog..I am easily persuadable and anything that promises better hair is surely worth a go.

Luscious definitely sounds good Grin

£28. Tiny blob on the hair when damp. So I blasted it dryish then put oil on before I properly dried it with my round brush. It's incredibly glossy, but not oily at all. Perfect.

Is it best for curly hair? Mine is fine and greasy so would be worried about the 'oil' element of it?

wukter · 11/01/2011 10:38

Isn't there some other oil - much cheaper - whose main ingredient is Moroccan oil? I am sure someone on here mentioned it.

valiumredhead · 11/01/2011 18:37

Oh it's FAB stuff. £10 for 30 mls on Amazon and I've not even used a third of the bottle and I've been using it at least 2 months every day. It's transformed my horrible frizzy hair.

purepurple · 11/01/2011 18:39

I had some at the hairdresser's the last time I was in. Amazing stuff. I have straight fine hair that tends to go frizzy in the damp, it kept my hair looking great till I ashed it. the hairdresser was selling it for £12 a bottle. I didn't buy any, as I didn't have the money, but wish I had.

bellavita · 11/01/2011 18:42

I have used this for just over a year now - do same as RN.

It cost me £30 from my salon and I am still using the same bottle so excellent value for money.

Would recommend to anyone. I would not buy from anywhere else other than a reputable salon.

valiumredhead · 11/01/2011 18:49

My reputable salon is called Amazon Wink

HairExtensions · 11/01/2011 21:09

wukter it's Argan Oil, my hairdresser recommended it to me as way cheaper than Moroccan Oil but basically the same thing.

merrywidow · 11/01/2011 21:20

I can't get past the smell; I can't stand it

NorbertDentressangle · 11/01/2011 21:23

I didn't think it had a very strong smell at all.

To me its quite subtle and slightly sweet

(Moroccan Oil that is not Argan oil)

ruddynorah · 11/01/2011 23:54

Argan oil reeks. This mixture however is lovely.

Amargan is the oil I use - smells lovely!

I hope that link works!

Another vote in favour of morrocanoil. I use it on the DD's as well as myself and it's cut by 90% the time I spend combing and detangling and their hair (and mine!) looks great. I got it at hq hair - there was an offer just after christmas - 30% off whole order.

wukter · 12/01/2011 20:11

Thanks HairExtensions.
