Foundation - good coverage, doesn't sit in the wrinkles?

I've been using Bobbi Brown luminous moisturising foundation and it's almost finished.

I do like it - but find it wears off a bit during the day.

Any others that are good for mature skin?
44, a bit crepey,wrinkly around the eyes - bit saggy round the jaw - the rest ok!

i use guinot tinted moisturiser - it is really good , works like a foundation and a good quality moisturiser all in one - before this i used to use a moisturiser, primer and barbara daly foundation but find the 1 guinot product does the work of all 3 and i am older than you

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light. Sheer but buildable medium coverage and really long-lasting. I apply it with a Mac foundation brush.

They also do a classic Double Wear foundation but I personally find it a bit too mask-like on me - the "light" provides the coverage and staying power without looking too heavy.

Estee Lauder are really good about giving out samples so you could try it before you spend any money. It's about £20.

I like max factor lasting performance. I use it as is in winter and mixed with a little moisturiser in summer. I am very pale skinned and the 'fair' one is great

I'm a big fan of Bare Minerals. I think you can contol the coverage and go lighter round the eyes and mouth if needed. I don't always use the primer and finishing veil, If I do it will last all day.

I have been hunting for a new one too.

Loads of people rave about Clinique, my mum uses it and her skin does not look old IMO (she is nearly 60) so I think it is good but it was not right for me.

After much trial and error I am down to Dior and Lancome, leaning towards the Lancome. Very helpful counter staff and the finish on the foundation is beautiful (Teinte Miracle). I found lots - including double wear and double wear light gave a very thick matt finish but the Dior and Lancome make me look all nice and glowy. So thats my insight!

The Estee Lauder did last all day though so I was disappointed it was not right for me.

I have got free samples and tried each one for a few days which was a hassle to do but well worth it.

I have tried loads of different foundations. I am 48 ,failry good combinataion skin with wrinkle around eyes.
I have found the best by far are two ,

clarins instant smooth radiant touch and diorskin nude. I have tried chanel vitalumiere ,didn't last on me , lancome tient summat -bit cakey but lasted well.

I have had comments that I look well on the diorskin and I am really impressed with the natural look and staying power of it...my favourite so far.

I found estee lauder double wear very heavy and sat in wrinkles defeating the object really.

Not sure what you mean by 'good' coverage, but it's my personal view that anything with more than light coverage is pretty well bound to sit in the wrinkles, because of its powder-like content. That's why I only use titnted misturiser or similar - By Terry, Laura Mercier, Becca, Chantecaille Futureskin, Bobbi Brown all excellent. Was all set to get the By Terry Teint Opulent, but the By T. consultant said it would be too heavy for me.

I've never wanted any more than a bit of evening out of skin tone and a bit of a glow, so the ones mentioned suit me best, and I don't apply even these all over my face.

I have tried both Diorskin Nude and Lancome Teint Miracle. I much prefer the Diorskin. It sits on my skin much more naturally, you literally can't see or feel that it's there. But if I just apply it to half my face first, the difference is amazing. It also lasts all day, especially with a good primer.

The Lancome didn't sit naturally on my face at all.

I have half and half of the Dior and Lancome on today so I can finally buy it before term starts on Monday and I will look hagged again. I can see the Dior on my skin more. The Teinte Miracle I have is the light version or something - clear lid.

I am trying the Lancome primer as well and I am very impressed - I usually use Smashbox and this is better.

Im a long term fan of Double Wear but agree it does accentuate wrinkles. Ive recently been trialling Revlon Photo Ready foundation and it is excellent, Im really impressed.

It lasts really well, it isnt heavy or mask like at all and it has a luminessence to it that is subtle but very flattering on lines. Does anyone remember Estee Lauder Lucidity foundation that was discontinued? It's finish and quality is similar I think. Its 12.99 but often on the Boots 3 for 2 offer.

i have horrid wrinkles on my forehead which foundation pulls up a seat and gets comfy in Angry

panic buying before xmas as everything made me look orange i am currently using a bourjois one (something natural?) that is not bad tbh

have also ordered mineral one from avon (£4 special offer Wink) as apparently it will not sit in wrinkles...we will see...

I love Clinique Repair Wear. You need the tiniest bit and then blend a lot. Iget loads of compliments on my skin.
It has a slightly matte finish but isn't drying.

Clarins have a new one out- I got a sample last week- I think it is the "firming" one. Almost as good as the Clinique but slightly shinier finish.

No the Dior is definitely a foundation. Quite luminous and you can see your skin through it but def a foundation.

I have bought the Lancome today - doubting myself a bit because everyone is raving about the Dior but everyone is different I guess :)

I really like the Boots natural collection. It is really cheap (I have tried lots of very expensive products in the past). I mix the tinted moisturiser with an equal quantity of foundation, and it seems to give nice even coverage. I am in my 50s.

Even if you don't like it, you won't have spent much!!

Tesco do some-could be Maybelline or Beauty Without Cruelty-that are powder/foundation combinations. Comes with an applicator so you don't need to do your wrinkly bits!! I find the lighter ones work best on a more (ahem) mature skin.

rimmel works really well for me and doesn't melt off. it's the lift and renew one.
