Was pondering earlier how to spend some birthday /xmas money and was thinking of a tiffany necklace and a chanel handbag..I then idly looked at what I was wearing today grey skinnies, purple ls tee, grey and purple leopard print tunic , grey scarf. Fine.
I then added up how much above outfit cost ...about £50.
I then added up how much accessories had cost watch, jewellery, handbag about £10,000!
(does include engagement/ wedding ring)
Thinking about it I always spend on accessories watches, bags, jewellery and also have these as gifts. Whilst my clothes which look ok are all basically cheap from the high street if not the charity shop! I guess I can justify cost on stuff that lasts but as I hate wearing same clothes all the time tend to buy lots of cheap stuff (which all needs to be cleared out).
Just wondering if anyone else does this ?? And am I spoiling the expensive stuff by wearing it with the cheap? Hmmm.

I dont think I could quite match the £10k on accessories! But I do have a nice watch (gift for my 30th), nice bag (gift for last birthday), and a nice ring (engagement). My clothes are all cheap too, Dorothy perkins, New Look etc. I like shopping and I dont have the funds to go out and buy fabulous classic pieces! Oh, hang on I did once buy a MaxMara coat in the sale but that was 7 years ago and I'm still wearing it, guess that was one investment piece! Trouble is if I bought just investment pieces I would be buying one item a year!

I don't do this, no.

There was a massive thread on here a while back, about how much your outfit was worth if you included jewellery etc and lots of people had rings, watches etc that were very expensive.

I'm trying to buy a few 'investment' items of clothing but tbh accessories just don't excite me. My watch was 8 pounds; I don't wear any rings; necklaces and bracelets usually just from Accessorise.
