I had my hair styled 3 days ago, I have a strong natural wave to my hair and had it cut and the hairdresser straighted it, it is the first time ever it has been like that and I love it, had so many compliments, the trouble is I washed hair this morning and used my straigheners, it looked great for about an hour and then slowly it because slightly frizzier and not the salon look that I had early.

I usually use shampoo & cond & mousse, but I dont have a clue how to keep it looking straight and sleek. Advice please

The whole John Frieda range - boots etc sell. Esp the serum.

my hairdresser told me it is not really products that straighten your hair (unless you get it done chemically) but more technique when drying it.. he has taught me how to dry my hair straight and it is better than using products and straighteners.. practice and a round brush are my recommendations!!

oh, then perhaps more to do with recent purchase of ceramic hair brush for blow drying???

a thermal straighteneng product will give great results. Fudge erekt is brill. frizz free one is my fave.

The Lee Stafford Poker Straight range is fab - available at Boots. I use the straightening balm even when I don't have time to do anything with my hair (that's everyday )and it definitely makes my hair less mushroomy.

my hair has a natural kink to it and i use l'oreal 'hot straight' straighening cream. its in a pink bottle and beyonce is in the advert i seem to think!

Are your straighteners good ones? I had a set of babyliss ceramic ones and, like yours, my hair would be straight for a while but then frizz up a bit later. I recently invested in some GHD ones and you get a spray with it and they are 100 times better - they really straighten it and it stays like that all day.

A tip my hairdresser gave me too is to comb the section of hair right before you straighten - so you put the straightener right behind the comb so to speak - not sure if that makes sense?

I second GHDs - if you can possibly afford them, they are worth the money. Use with a good conditioner and serum / iron oil and you can look like you have just been to the hairdressers every day.

And sort of hold the bottom of the section of hair you are doing taught - pulled dead straight right up to the point you get the straighteners to it. Otherwise the end of your section sort of fans out as you go from top to bottom.

Sorry if you know all this - just a few things I've found work!
