The 'mum uniform' thread got me thinking about my constant dilemma:
- how can I be smartly dressed for work without remortgaging for dry cleaning bills??
My 'normal' work look is variations on a theme of this:
- black/brown/navy or dark grey trousers (or occasionnally skirt)
- some type of t-shirt or shirt (cotton)type top (plain or patterned)
- suede or wool or linen (special meetings/occasions only) jacket
At the end of the day, the top goes in the wash and the jacket/skirt/ trousers get hung up for wearing again.
But I admire people who look smart and wear:
- smart dress work type not floral)
- camisole under suit buttoned up
- trendy sleeveless top underneath
but sorry to be graphic about this, but what do they do about sweaty armpits?
If I've worn a sleeveless top or camisole under a jacket, it feels as if the jacket then needs to be cleaned? At the very best it has deodrant marks - at worst beginnings of BO....
Are people really drycleaning things after just one wear?
