Oh, also forgot to say that tulpe I would love a new belly button. Is anyone else's stretched out of shape after pregnancy?

mrsjuan · 05/01/2011 20:33

Mine is bloss - and that's after just one small baby - hate to think what it will look like after any more Shock. It's the only part of my body that's changed though so I guess I should be grateful.

Lovely coat Kildare - what did you decide about the boots?

RG - I love those scarves too.

OllieWollieWoo · 05/01/2011 20:34

Just back from first Zumba lesson - flippin heck! Apparently we did a low impact class - if that was low impact than I don't want to think about what intermediate impact is! I thought I was pretty coordinated but some of the moves are just beyond me! I was tying myself up in knots! Felt good to do some exercise again tho so have signed up for a 10 week course and will def do the Shred dvd (may change my mind when I can't get out of bed tomorrow!)

Kildare - like the coat, NF stuff is always so stylish.
Tulpe I feel exactly the same re not giving up books for a kindle but I have seen a lovely green leather kindle cover which could change my mind....!

VerityBrulee · 05/01/2011 20:48

Kildare love the coat

OWW hope ds is ok now, we had so many visits to A & E when the boys were younger, they must be more sensible now as we haven't been for a while Smile

Tulpe Envy hope you have a fab time!

Everything any news about the house? I've had my fingers for you crossed all day.

Thanks again for the good wishes for my aunt, She has improved slightly which we are so releived to hear. They are hoping to stabilise her then send her home by air ambulance, which is worrying me as the hospitals here are rampant with swine flu. Anyway, one step at a time.

I was very avid today! I went into topshop to check out Traceys red bag. They didn't have it, but what did I spy, sad and lonely on a bottom shelf but a pair of Swedish Hasbeens, these in pistacio green my size, reduced from 228E to 90E. Well, I had to buy them considering Tracey said they were one of her best buys of the year. My first thought was to dye them, but actually I think I might stick with the green for the moment. Sadly, more snow on the way, so won't be wearing them for 6 months at least.

That scarf I was bemoaning yesterday form L&L turned out to be in Brown Thomas for 35E, less than half the sale price on the L&L site. Guess what? I didn't like it so all that angst for nothing. I also passed on an Anya H, red bag, love her, so great restraint there, and sheilded my eyes when I passed by the shoe dept. I do not need more shoes.

Saw a puffa for esher which I will try to find a link for.

Redliquorice · 05/01/2011 20:49

OWW Old time lurker here. I pop in now and then! DH bought me Kindle with apple green leather cover (with cute little reading light :)) for Christmas. Love, love, love it! I am such a book lover but confess that I have not let the Kindle out of my sight since Christmas Day! The meet up sounds fab. Wish I'd joined in more last year, instead of lurking around, and I just may have come too!

traceybath · 05/01/2011 20:51

OWW - poor DS!
Kildare - love that coat.

Well I've had an interesting day - estate agent called earlier re. the house we made an offer on ages ago and asked if we were still interested and if we'd increase.

Ice-queen negotiator me - says no - we liked it but only at that price (20% under asking price). So sort of forgot about it as lots of other stressful stuff going on and then estate calls back at 6pm to says its ours at that price if we want it - aaaggghhh!

So we do want it but now have delegated job of sorting out money to DH - well he needs to sort out the cash whilst I do everything else. So busy few months ahead as house needs gutting.

So upshot is LV scarf on hold for the time being as have spent too much recently really and need to be frugal and think about house stuff.

Oh and DS1 has the back to school blues for tomorrow Sad Just wants to be at home with me and the other dc's - goodness knows why as I've been very distracted today.

Also still suffering with sinusitis - and spoke to sil (a GP) who reckons it could take 3 months to go - double aaagghhh!

Sorry - all a bit me me me.

NY - I'm fine with any hotel Smile

FritziGreenEyes · 05/01/2011 20:56

Kildare That coat will be great with dresses/skirts or to dress up jeans.

ollie Have just googled Zumba. Seems very energetic to me!

tulpe My belly button looks very strange but I don't care that much as it is covered by clothes most of the time.

mrsjuan Well done on reclaiming waistline!

Where is monkeysmama?

CHOOGIRL · 05/01/2011 20:58

Oh Tracey what a dilemma. I think lots of people will have problems securing a mortgage this year (50% down on 2010) so 20% under asking price sounds about right.

I have the LV scarf on hold in Rouge Fauviste, Blanc Corail. Will decide next week when I see them, but then that is my January budget done.

VerityBrulee · 05/01/2011 20:59

Wow Tracey that's fantastic! How exciting Grin

Poor DS1, hopefully once he's back with his friends he'll be fine.

FritziGreenEyes · 05/01/2011 21:06

Oh, I'm such a slow typer....

tracey How exciting about the house and well done on negotiating! I think that you still need that scarf though as you will spend many hours out and about organizing everything a you need to keep warm. Are you taking any medication to get rid of sinusitis?

verity Good news about your aunt!

FritziGreenEyes · 05/01/2011 21:09

choo Lucky you! I called LV shop here today and they told me a) they don't know when new scarves will be available in the shop and b) they don't have a waiting list. Of course I really want one now!

mrsjuan · 05/01/2011 21:10

Aghhhh! Tracey - how exciting! Best of luck with it all. Sorry to hear that DS1 is feeling down - hope he gets back into the swing of it once he gets there.

Fritzi - not entirely reclaimed yet but it is emerging Grin and esher - no need to be Envy - you are far far tinier than me in the first place! Am pleased with myself though - resisted the temptations of a birthday buffet at work today and think if I can get through the weekend I should be able to stay in 'the zone' for a while.

Glad your aunt is a little better verity - although must still be a very worrying time for you all.

Red I'm sure you can still come to the meet up - lots of us haven't 'met' before.

KILDARE4 · 05/01/2011 21:14

Thanks for your lovely comments regarding my coat I do love itGrin.

Bloss I too have a belly button body that has changed shape as a result of pregnancy, but you appear to doing something about it with your DVD - well done, I really need to do more exercise.

Mrs Juan I didn't buy the boots, trying to be wise!

FritziGreenEyes · 05/01/2011 21:14

cake Look WIT is a fan of COS too Wink.

eshermummy · 05/01/2011 21:17

OWW I would love to say something like how glad I am to have girls on reading of your A&E adventures......but I really don't want to tempt fate so I won't Grin Hope that was your first and only trip to A&E this year.

Tracey ooooh how exciting and get you with your balls of steel, hold out for the deal boots on!!

Verity glad to hear your auntie has improved Smile

Tulpe Maldives - Envy. Where are you staying (if you don't mind saying?) I love a bit of holiday porn Grin
I always take heaps of beach coverups (enough for a new one everyday Blush) but is worth having a couple that are not totally see-thru for breakfast I find. For some reason I can brazen it out in a chiffon kaftan at the poolside restaurant at lunchtime but am always a bit Hmm about too much showing at breakfast!

Today at school pick-up another mum (who I don't like very much Blush) turned up in a (new I think) black shiny puffa. Is it very bad to admit that it has put me off loads slightly?
Was looking again at the GD vs Jaeger coats last night and, on balance, I much prefer the GD (out of stock last week) so I may call them on Friday and see if they have had any fortuitous returns.

Am out all day tomorrow at all day hosp appointment for dd1.

DD1 went back to school today and friend had dd2 for a few hours playdate this am (nursery starts back nect week) so feeling a bit more serene.
Did a post office run - have sent back everything in last 2 ASOS orders bar the ratalikes and these sandals incl the Reiss sale shorts which still not right a size smaller.
John Lewis parcel arrived containing these red leopard ballerinas and this blouse. Tried ballerinas and they fit, just trying to decide if I will actually wear them? I don't get on with blochs as am too heavy of tread so need a slightly more shoe-y ballerina. Do you think ballerinas and jeans is still a good look come Spring?
Have not yet been arsed to tried on blouse but the colour is lovely.

FritziGreenEyes · 05/01/2011 21:23

esher Good luck for DD's hospital appointment tomorrow!

Will have an early night and go to bed now. Night all!

VerityBrulee · 05/01/2011 21:27

Esher I love the cut of the blouse, lovely neck. I can't find a link anywhere to the puffa I saw today, it was by Francois and Marithe Girbaud, lovely shape with a nipped in waist. I had a look for you in the GD concession near me the other day but this navy coat was the only puffa left.

notyummy · 05/01/2011 21:28

Is there a certain sick irony in me sitting watching The Biggest Loser whilst eating a crunchy ? Blush

notyummy · 05/01/2011 21:29

Tracey-good luck with the house and Esher good luck with the hospital appt.

blossoming · 05/01/2011 21:36

Well done traceybath. Do you still want it? When you have time talk us through it. Plenty of us here loving property porn!

verity, hope things continue to improve for your aunt.
It sounds like you had a good shopping trip, well done on finding the hasbeens.

I like the blouse esher. Great colour. Those ballerinas were a great find too. I'll still be wearing them come spring. They suit my life too well to be a one season wonder (while hiding too many horrors!)

blossoming · 05/01/2011 21:38

I'd forgotten the British one was starting today notyummy. Is it any good. I got so addicted to the US one. I just love Jillian!

I am in the 'office' doing holiday research and costings.

eshermummy · 05/01/2011 21:41

Thanks Verity, funnily enough I was after a puffa by F &M Girbaud last bloody winter. Boutique near me was stocking them but £££, waited till sales but still missed out. Have checked their website and looks like they are not stocking that label this year.
I think the moral of the story is good black puffas (ie stylish) always sell out so next winter I will take the hit and pay the £££ full price when I see a good one. GD will be first port of call, although I will check with them on Fri re returns.

Thanks for good luck wishes, DD is having a series of investigations ( which she has had before) so am hoping it will be plain sailing, just a long day. My mum will have dd2 all day so should be fine with just dd1 to concentrate on.

notyummy · 05/01/2011 21:42

I am waiting the US one Bloss, on sky us. May give the UK one a try but not the same without Jillian.

traceybath · 05/01/2011 21:45

Love those shoes and blouse Esher!

Choo and Fritzi - I love the blanc corail colour and may buy as a sort of tempting fate thing [who am I trying to kid]

We've got a mortgage agreed in principle so just need to finalise it really - thats straight forward isn't it? [clueless as so long ago we bought a house and all much stricter now]]

House has potential - lovely location and plot but turquoise bathroom suites etc etc, pink shagpile carpet and the most lurid wallpaper ever. However we'd extend and re-configure so wouldn't do anything in the interim.

Everything - did the LL get back to you today?

VB - love those hasbeens!

DS1 is missing his little brother as had moved into his own bedroom so back in with ds2 tonight - very sweet really [ignores the day I spent moving all his stuff]

Esher - hope all goes well at the hospital tomorrow.

I still think that ballet flats and jeans is a good look.

loobylu3 · 05/01/2011 21:50

ollie- you look lovely in that photo! Your poor DS!

tracey- love the pink LV scarf (bit of a pink girl here)! Also, congratulations on the new house- how exciting! Have you tried saline nasal douches for the sinusitis? You can by sachets otc.

bonsoir- you sound like you love to organise everything and everyone. Maybe you could have a short break somewhere wild and romantic with DP and a teenager friendly holiday somewhere more buzzing with their friends, etc. After all, soon they will not be wanting to holiday with you and their father and will escape with their friends :)

hello mac- pleased you had a good break over Xmas!

verity- v sorry to hear about your aunt but pleased she is a little better today.

tulpe- what a fabulous holiday for you and your DH!

Like the coat, kildare. I also like the puff sleeved one a lot.

NY- can you put me down tentatively for the meet up? It feels slightly strange going from swapping ideas on the internet to actually meeting up but I'm sure it would be great fun! I wouldn't need accomodation.
