To bo or not to bo(tox)

I always thought I'd never succumb, but I'm getting fed up of looking knackered and cross when I feel happy and lively inside. My mum used to get asked all the time what was the matter when she was feeling fine. It must be a family trait to have grimly droopy faces.

But is it mad and vain and dangerous, or is it a really easy way to look as good as you feel?

I think you have to be very careful who you get to do it. I haven't done it myself, but have quite a few friends who do regularly, and my verdict (as friend and outsider) is:

friend one.
She gets botox lite. She goes to Harley St bloke who she likes, and she looks great. She has been doing it for years as a preventative, and looks v well and not at all frozen.

friend two.
Has also been doing it for years, but definitely rocks the frozen look. Never knew her before she did it, so don't know what she would look like otherwise. She looks slightly cross a lot of the time and I think its the botox that is doing it.

Did you see those pics of Gwyneth Paltrow the other day, looking like a mad Desperate Housewife? She has DEFINITELY had something done recently and looks TERRIBLE as a result (compared to the original Gwyneth).

That's what my friend two looks like.

So go to someone GOOD, someone who treats it like an art, and go for the "lite" version. Don't go to superdrug in your lunch hour.
