Just wondering. I am wedded to Liz earle for combo skin and can never bring myself to buy something expensive that won't be as nice or smell nice and soothing rather than perfumed. I just slap a bit more on and occasionally use clarins thirst quenching moisturiser if I feel I need it.

Nope, as I'm usually halfway through a tub or tube and it takes so long to find a good one. I think it's all a bit of a marketing ploy.

Yep - I use Olay Regenerist most of the year round, but use mostly Nivea, the really thick stuff, in the winter. Still use Regenerist if I'm puting on slap make-up or feeling vain as it makes my skin all plump and glow-y, but there's nothing like Nivea for comfort in winter.

And you've just reminded me I've run out and was meant to buy some more today! Xmas Angry

jajas - I went to school with someone called KS! but doubt it's the same girl. funny tho.

MissH, may I ask what yr age bracket is? I'm early 30s and I get so confused by all the chat on the l'oreal/olay/garnier products that I pretty much never buy them. Is olay really all that? what kind of skin do you have?

I'm 30ish and used to have greasy skin, now it tends to get dry. Combination?? Anyway slathering it in Nivea seems to settle it, if you try it as a night cream, it feels ridiculously greasy at first but it soaks in and leaves skin feeling so smooth and hydrated, and it doesn't give me spots.

Regenerist is pretty fab for my skin on a daily basis, I'm quite addicted. I think it's something techincal to do with peptides maybe? They puff up your skin, making it look temporarily plumper and softer. It's the same thing as in that serum from Boots (too lazy pissed to look it up) I don't kid myself that it's actually anti-aging or anything, avoiding sun / staying hydrated / not smoking would do that. It's also sometimes on offer at Superdrug, normally £23ish but I stock up when it's £5 or £10 off.

ok hell toe will look out for a good offer.

I've made an effort this year and looked for something without an SPF for winter, because the very last thing I want at the moment is to be protected from the sun. Inevitably therefore I'm currently using a nightcream for everyday wear.
