How often do you dry clean your clothes??

I am curious.

When it comes to things like dry clean only jackets, which are not worn next to the skin, I have to confess that I dry clean them only rarely... (so long as they look and smell clean !!)

But I know that a friend at work dry cleans most things after one wear.

Never, i don't wear anything that would be dry clean only. I don't see how it can get clean if you don't wash it.
I used to hand wash dry clean only items.

Never

I don't buy dry clean clothes. Hate them.

If I do have something that is dry clean like a jacket, I never get it cleaned.

Just to clarify, I am talking about clothes that are dry clean only !!!

Yes, I know some things can be hand washed - but come can't ! e.g. jackets made from wool fabrics

you can get a little pack from lakeland which makes your tumble-drier into a dry cleaner. It works really well, ime. I only have a few things that are dry-clean only, so one of their packs last me all year Xmas Smile

When they don't look and/or smell fresh anymore!

If it's a blouse, every couple of wears in summer and every 3/4 in winter. Coats and jackets much less often, but I do brush them a lot.

I once had my long wool coat drycleaned but only because it had sugary drink spilled on it. Don't think I've ever had anything else done. Just wouldn't buy anything that was dry clean only, can't imagine I would even if I had the money.

Coats usually just at the end of the season but I brush them regularly and spot clean marks with a damp cloth.

Suits it would depend on how it looked/felt but I aim to wear it 4/5 times before cleaning and febreeze it/peg it out after every couple of wears so It smells fresh.

I don't buy dry clean trousers or tops anymore.

Hi ladies, I am a dry cleaner and would just like to say , the clothes do get wet, very wet in fact. It is washed in a solvent not water. The dry cleaner is like a very large washer drier, hence the expression'dry ' as it comes out dry.. Trust me if you saw the dirty solvent you would know it does take out the dirt.. It's just mostly dirt you can't see. Also I think it's perfectly normal not to clean things that don't touch your skin. Like everything it's personal choice how often you get things cleaned .
