Something that isn't slippers for DH

Slippers are banned as nasty smelly ugly objects in our house. DH is complaining he has cold feet and would like something that isn't slippers but fulfills the same function. I've found some very expensive boiled wool bootie things and clogs on the internet but really what he needs is a pair of cheap imitation cardi uggs - has anyone seen any that might fit him - size 7? or do you have any other suggestions for something else - don't really want to spend more than £30 or thereabouts.

They have them in every single cheap shoe shop I've set foot in this year.

These perhaps?

youngblowfish · 05/12/2010 16:53

Or these?

Soups · 05/12/2010 17:57

I have the womens version of these

"these /www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/index.cfm/product/blue-mountain-supersoft-fleece-sock-with-dots/fuseaction/products.detail/code/3C110226/group/25/level/2",

They're very comfy and you can stick them in the wash.

My husband has North Face Tent Mules that he loves.

Thanks for suggestions, the north face tent mules are probably best bet so far - I did think imitation cardigan boots would be everywhere until I started to look, but not round here they are not.

why can't he just have normal slippers and wash them? I stick mine in the washing machine on a regular basis and they don't smell.

We don't like slippers - they are middle aged and fuggly - I just wear socks but DH feels the cold more

I messed up my previous link

Blue Mountain fleece sock from Cotswold Outdoor store

Thank you, Soups, I managed to find them anyway. Choices now being made harder by DS2 saying the whole idea of slippery things is gross!

I have found something! these hope they get DS2's seal of approval, but think they will look good with jeans about the house.
