My just sheepskin slippers stay on OK. I was attracted to Emus because of their cupped heel and arch support (I get plantar fasciitis if I wear flat things or anything MBT like) but this flipping away at the back isn't going to work.

Where should I be heading?

I recommend Celt boots They are the original Ugg boots, made in Britain, a company with good ethical policies, and I think cheaper than Uggs. I have two pairs, vole regular and grey calf length. They're both comfy but I find I wear the regular length much more. I know many folk hate ugg-style boots, but I find them so useful and think they look fine - I've had lots of compliments and questions from people about my Celt ones. I machine washed them recently - the company says you can but I was a little unsure how it would go - and though they took ages to dry, they look almost as new again. (Not quite as I've walked so many miles in them I've nearly worn the sole away!). Husband has slippers from the same company and loves them.

I have Celtic sheepskin boots too. A pair in spice and in mocha. They are great, so comfy, keep my feet warm as toast and the brown pair have been through the wash without incident.

Forgot to say, not sure if I'm understanding the flipping at the back thing right - I have narrow heels and wide front to my feet (so I can't wear ballet pumps etc as I walk out of them) but have found the Celt boots fine - but they have to feel really tight when you first put them on - then over a few days the sheepskin moulds really comfortably to the shape of your feet. I am usually a size 6 and a half, but in things like Celt boots and Birkenstock I'm a 6. Hope that helps!

I would NOT receommend celtic sheepskin boots if you are flat footed, I have a really low arch and recently got a pair as I liked that they were not made in China.

They are very flat and the sheepskin on the bottom is so thin, very disappointed.

And yes I did buy the right size! :)
