Ditto Cod. I've just got this pair - top right for wearing with skirts (and they fit under jeans) and I've ordered this pair for more casual - not sure I really like them though, they'll probably go back. Want a chunky casual pair that withstands school runs and kicking a ball in the garden.

Gobbledigook · 25/09/2005 16:01

What do you think of these - bottom left, cavalier

these - buckle strap boots in pink or blue!?

Gobbledigook · 25/09/2005 16:06

Or what about these?! They look hardwearing

GhostofNatt · 25/09/2005 16:18

Here's a confession - I bought that teacher from fame cardy which wpould never look at normally BECAUSE you can wrap it round your bloated early pregnancy self and look all mysterious like you are wearing a blanket. However, it is very tiring constantly having to re-fling it over one's shoulder

GhostofNatt · 25/09/2005 16:19

And existing children do swing from it in an annoying mammer

expatinscotland · 25/09/2005 16:20

Gawd, cod just reminded me of her response in that 'are mukluk boots cool?' thread. 'Won't cats chase you and try to mate with you in those?'

I'm still PMSL.

There are loads of chunky scarves that look like the maker just learned to knit out.

And those skullcaps that make you look like you're about to rob a bank.

sounds like the blanket top my dh got me one of those for our anniversary. (last time he gets to go shopping without supervision)

FLIPPING annoying and I end up looking like a bag lady as it flaps manically open with every step. Have tried to shrink it but is resistant so am contemplating leaving it on a train for a passing cat to adopt as a bed.

teeavee · 25/09/2005 17:18

lol - I have banned my dp from buying me anyitem of clothing, since all attempts so far have been disastrous

flamebat · 25/09/2005 17:23

Yay!!! So pleased to be proved right about the swinging children

Not for you having to cope with them though!

I think if yer the willowy, slinky hipped 6ft tall type who lunches and gets manicures its prob great. Short arses with half the garden under their nails like me just look bedraggled. I always think I should be selling ethically and ecologically sourced mooncups when I wear mine. (not that thats bad just SO not me)

NomDePlume · 25/09/2005 19:03

I have one. Bought it about 2 years ago, it's massively cosy, I wear it over my sofa pjs on chilly nights. Wouldn't leave the house in it.

lou33 · 25/09/2005 19:07

I have one, i use it a lot when the weather permits.

Dh looked like a pimp in it when he tried it on, which is handy for friday nights on the street corner when we need beer money
