What top to wear with new skirt?

I have been given a really nice lace skirt, mid thigh length in a dark cream colour, but I have no idea what sort of top to wear with it.

I'm tall with a very flat chest, so I can't get away with anything low cut!! Any ideas much appreciated!

I'd go Ashes to Ashes with a slash neck top with an off the shoulder drape to it. And a big Russian army coat to slip off your shoulders after you've made a dramatic entrance through double doors, it will also flap behind you in the wake of your dynamic presence. Sorry, getting carried away.
What colour shoes have you got?

Only have black or dark grey shoes.

Then top should be black or dark grey and jewellery should be pearls to match skirt. If dark cream really suits you (eg spring/autumn colouring) then maybe a tomato red/coral hair froufrou/fascinator thingy would be nice. If dark cream is not something you'd normally wear on top (winter/spring), go for pillarbox red or a bluey-er shade of pink.

Digging around in my wardrobe I have found a grey slash neck, slightly bat-wing style top which might work!! I don't usually wear cream as I have 2 pre-schoolers, but the colour does seem to work ok on me!
